Chosochaekbang befindet sich auf dem Berg Inwangsan in einem Gebäude, das ursprünglich zum Schutz von Cheongwadae gebaut und über 50 Jahre lang als Wachposten genutzt wurde. Der Wachposten enstand nach dem Angriff auf Cheongwadae in 1968 und symbolisiert den Schmerz von Trennung und Konfrontation.
