The Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Yeosu is a 24-storey hotel in Dolsan-eup, Yeosu-si, Jeollanam-do. The hotel faces the sea, with Hallyeohaesang National Park on one side and Dolsan Neighborhood Park on the other. Guestrooms come either with an ocean view, a view over Yeosu’s famous Dolsan Bridge, or a view of Yeongchwisan Mountain. There are ‘glamping rooms’ with an outside barbecue, and specialised rooms for kids. Additional facilities include a lobby cafe, a Western restaurant where breakfast is served, a zip track starting from the highest rooftop in Yeosu, and a swimming pool. In winter there is a warm water infinity pool on the 5th floor.

Hakrimjae is a hanok stay in Taesan-ri, Janggun-myeon, Sejong City, Chungcheongnam-do. The house and yard are rented out as a unit. The hanok has three sleeping rooms, a kitchen, a living room, and two bathrooms. The living room has a beam projector and karaoke machine, making it an ideal space for meetings, corporate retreats and club outings;  traditional weddings and outdoor exhibition events are also held in Hakrimjae. Guests can hold an outdoor barbecue, or use the wood-fired furnace and cauldron. Soom (‘Breath’) is a nature dye craft center and a hanok stay in Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. Yeoro is a hanok guesthouse in a quiet residential part of Sansu-dong, Gwangju, Jeollanam-do. The guesthouse has four ondol rooms, all equipped with a toilet and refrigerator. There is a shared washing machine (free of charge) in an outside bathroom. For breakfast, home-made sweet pumpkin porridge is served. Guests can take part in traditional crafts such as red clay dyeing, making injeolmi ricecakes or gangjeong puffed rice, and pressed-flower hand mirror making. Visitors’ cars can be parked in a nearby public parking lot.

Ihwa Old House in Jeonju Hanok Village, Jeollabuk-do, is a charming hanok stay with a more than 100-year history, which preserves the traditional hanok pattern of connected wood-floored spaces called Numaru, Toenmaru and Jjongmaru. There are eight guestrooms, all equipped with a toilet. All new guests are welcomed with a glass of home-made sikhye (sweet rice drink) or patbingsu (shaved ice red bean desert), while for breakfast bibimbap or rice-cake soup will be served in Korean brass bowls. Guests can have a go at traditional crafts such as pansori, the tea ceremony, natural dyeing, and hanji making.

Chojeong Haenggung is a hanok stay and hanok experience center in Chojeong Culture Park, Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. The house has a historic royal connection, as King Sejong stayed here for some months in 1444 while being treated for an eye problem. There are 12 guestrooms, all with an underfloor-heated ondol room and either a daecheongmaru (large wood-floored hall) or a numaru (raised wooden floor space). All rooms have a bathroom and toilet. Cooking is not possible, but there’s a microwave oven and kettle for preparation of instant meals. There are discounts for Cheongju residents.

Irang Hanok Stay stands in Deokchi Village, Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do. The village has the Seomjin River flowing past it and mountains all round it, so this is a benign and beautiful spot. Accomodation consists of four renovated hanok, each let out as a single house. Each house has one ondol room, one bedroom, a  kitchen/living room, and a bathroom. The numaru(raise floor) and toenmaru(wooden veranda) are depending on the room.
Cooking strong smelling food inside is not allowed, but there is a barbecue space in the yard. An outdoor swimming pool is open in the summer.
