The National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage is located along Gatbawi Culture Street in Mokpo. Namnong Memorial Hall is an art gallery dedicated to the works and memory of Namnong Heo Gun, a famous artist of the traditional Southern School of Painting.
