Yeongmokhang Harbor is located at the base of a small hill 4 kilometers away from Gonam-myeon, on the southern tip of Anmyeondo Island. The name was originally just Yeonghang Harbor but the name was changed to reflect its important role in connecting the areas of Boryeong and Taean. Across from the harbor are Wonsando, Hyojado, Chuseom, and Bbaeseom islands and ‘Three Brethren Rock.’ On the left are boats for Cheonsuman Bay. Fishing is the main industry in the region, which means that visitors can find plenty of fresh, quality seafood such as manila clams, conches, bass, and other types of seafood at low prices.

Situated in Boryeong (Chungcheongnam-do), Boryeong Coal Museum focuses on the history of the coal industry and its importance. Its indoor and outdoor exhibition halls display a wide array of coal equipment employed to mine and carry coal. Visitors can also see a video depicting the coal mining process.
A reproduced mine is equipped with a tunnel (using the cold air from a closed mine) and decorated with photos on the wall of the tunnel. Reproducing the real process of coal mining, visitors may feel as if they are going up and down the mine, 400m underground. The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (to 5 p.m. during the winter season); it is closed on Mondays.

Wonsando Coffee is a dessert café located on the slopes of Wonsando Coast overlooking the Seohae Sea and Anmyeondo Island. Situated in Boryeong, the spacious Gaehwa Art Park is a theme art park that houses a variety of parks and attractions: to name a few, Mosan Fine Arts Museum, Birim Park, Yukpilsi Park, Hwain Music Hall, and Herb Land. The orange roof of Mosan Fine Arts Museum was made by using local stones. At Yukpilsi Park, visitors can see over 1,500 sculptures, statues and monuments as well as large stones inscribed with famous Korean poems. At Herb Land, visitors can enjoy dining. Throughout the park, visitors can see seven different ponds, waterfalls, and walking trails as well as animals such as deer, rabbits, and ducks roaming freely.

Seongjusan Recreational Forest in Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do is especially popular in spring because of its cherry blossoms and beautiful wildflowers. Also, the observatory 100 meters below the mountain peak (680 meters in elevation) offers a great view of Seongju-myeon and Oesan-myeon. Roundtrip hike to the peak takes approximately 2-3 hours.
Nearby tourist attractions include the Seongjusaji Temple site and a coal museum (15 minutes on foot), as well as Daecheon Beach and Muchangpo Beach (20-30 minutes by car).

Seokhwachon is a traditional Korean restaurant converted from a rural house. It specializes in Korean dishes. The menu includes specialties such as hanbang ori baeksuk (whole duck soup with medicinal herbs), hanbang dak baeksuk (whole chicken soup with medicinal herbs), samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), saengseon gui (grilled fish), and galchi jorim (braised cutlassfish). Ocheon Port Ferry Terminal operates ferry services to nearby islands such as Woldo Island and Yukdo Island.

Chungcheong Suyeongseong Fortress in Boryeong is a stone fortress built by the Joseon dynasty (1392-1897) in the 16th century to defend against invasions through the Hwanghae Sea. It offers a picturesque view of the Hwanghae Sea and several islands. The entrance to the fortress, called Manghwamun Gate, showcases stone artistry with its polished granite arch. This site also has historical significance as a place where Catholic persecution occurred in the 19th century.

Simyeondonggyegok Valley is a valley formed in an S-shape to the south of Seongjusan Mountain. The name "Simyeon" means deep pond. Boryeong Spring Cool Tunnel & Rest Area is located on the slopes of Seongjusan Mountain in Boryeong-si, originally an abandoned mine that extended underground for hundreds of meters. Even in the summer when temperatures soar above 30°C, the cool breeze here maintains around 12°C, making it cooler when the outside temperature is high. Dishes made from button mushrooms cultivated using the abandoned mine are also available for dining.
