Opened on October 14, 2005 by Seongnam Cultural Foundation, Seongnam Art Center is oriented towards cutting-edge performance and exhibition art, and serves as a local-friendly cultural site. The art center operates three performance halls (Opera House, Concert Hall, and Ensemble Theater) and three exhibition halls (Cube Art Gallery & Gallery 808, Bandal Gallery, Permanent Gallery). The center has hosted a variety of cultural events, from Korea's first introduced performances, Seongnam's original performances, self-produced works, region-friendly programs and other creative cultural contents. Korea Military Academy (육군사관학교)

Korea Military Academy is a place of strict rules, patriotism, and military cadets. It was extremely difficult for outsiders to visit the academy until 1997, when a special tourism course was created. The course showcases the major sites at Korea Military Academy. Starting from the school information center, visitors can see the museum, memorial hall, and exhibition center in a 1.5 hour course. The Military Museum displays treasures and materials from each branch of the military, while visitors can see the history of the military and lifestyle of cadets at the memorial hall. However, the highlight of a trip to Korea Military Academy is watching the Hwarang Ceremony, a parade of cadets which takes place every Saturday at 11:30. In the ceremony, cadets don their formal uniform to march. Touring the academy at 10 is perfect for watching the parade later.

Dooly Museum (둘리뮤지엄)

Dooly Museum is Korea's first museum to be dedicated to a single character. The museum is dedicated to Dooly, the main character from the Korean cartoon series "Dooly the Little Dinosaur." The cartoon was published as a series on a comic magazine called "Bomulseom" from 1983 to 1993, following Dooly's adventure that begins from his arrival to Ssangmun-dong inside a glacier from the Ice Age. Inspired by the series, this interactive museum was founded in Ssangmun-dong and explores the value and meaning of the hit series through the expansion of its works such as the animation series, character merch, and other media sources.
