The Jamunbak Festival is a celebration of the artistic life of Seoulites. At the foot of Bukhansan Mountain, the festival features exhibitions, performances, forums, workshops, and field trips that bring together artists of different generations and citizens of Seoul—who have long led Korea’s artistic culture—to reflect on and propose new directions for their own artistic lives. The Total Museum is a branch of Jangheung Art Park (formerly “Total Outdoor Museum”) that opened near Bukhansan Mountain in April 1992. It houses facilities such as an art academy, library, art shop, and outdoor performance stage. In addition to exhibitions, the museum holds a variety of art and culture programs like musical concerts, events, lectures, and seminars. In particular, the members-only educational programs and gallery concerts provide a chance to enjoy high-quality cultural events.

Haepungbuwongun Yun Taekyeong's Jaesil (해풍부원군윤택영댁재실)

Haepungbuwongun Yun Taekyeong's Jaesil is a shrine house built by the father-in-law of King Sunjong of Joseon dynasty in 1906 when his daughter was proclaimed the crowned princess of Joseon and entered Changdeokgung Palace to later become Queen Sunjeong. Red pine trees salvaged from the demolition of Gyeongungung Palace were used to construct the house. It was originally located in Jegi-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, but was later restored and moved to its present location. The shrine of the house that was destroyed in 1960 was also restored.
Because the house is more of a shrine rather than residential living quarters, it has many unique features. For example, unlike other houses, it has the anchae (women’s quarters) located across from sarangbang (men’s quarters) with daecheong (living room) positioned between them.

Through both national and international exhibitions, the Gana Art Center is a recognized gellery. With numerous fairs and exhibitions, Gana Art Center not only invite internationally known artists, but also promotes other forms of art, such as music, theater, mime, etc. Through their flexibility in promoting all art forms, the visitors will surely be able to find the theme of their interest.

Culture Station Seoul 284 opened in 2011 by restoring the old Seoul Station. The complex holds various programs including exhibitions, performances, cultural events and workshops. It holds over 100 years of history with Namdaemun Station being the original name of the station in 1900 and changing to Gyeongseong Station, Seoul Station, and now Culture Station Seoul 284. The look of 1925 Gyeongseong Station offers visitors a flashback to the past, providing a fun and special experience.
