The National Gugak Center is the governing body established to preserve and promote traditional Korean performing arts. The center can accommodate every type of traditional performing arts, such as palace music, court music, and all other genres including major productions of changgeuk (Korean musical drama). Originally opened in Busan in 1951, the center moved to its current location in Seoul in 1987. The center also opened branch locations in Namwon, Jindo, and Busan in 1992, 2004, and 2008 respectively.

Haeju Naengmyeon is a restaurant specializing in naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles). In fact, the restaurant has two menus: mullaengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodles) and super-spicy bibim naengmyeon (spicy buckwheat noodles), along with accompaniments like mulmandu (boiled mandu), eggs, and the beverage coolpis. The sauce features copious amounts of garlic and goes very well with vinegar, mustard, and sugar. If you find the bibim naengmyeon (spicy buckwheat noodles) too spicy, cool down with warm broth or get some eggs on the side.

Boramae Park is a former Air Force Academy site that has been transformed into a recreational park on May 1986. The 2nd floor of Building 4 has a library that is popular with teenagers as well as Teenager Center where they can enjoy various activities and programs. Yongma Land, a private amusement park, was opened at the foot of Yongmasan Mountain in 1983, and closed its doors in 2011.  Having spent some time as a derelict building, it has now been repurposed as a nostalgia-filled space. It was made famous as the filming location of Crayon Pop’s "Bar Bar Bar" music video. Since then, it has become a renowned destination for photography, thanks to its unique atmosphere created by the combination of lush greenery and derelict amusement rides. Entry may be restricted in the case of filming or space rentals, so make sure to check with the management before you head to the amusement park. Yongma Land is located next to Bonghwa Middle School, at Exit 1 of Mangu Station, Gyeongui–Jungang Line.
