The Children’s Museum is a hands-on experience museum run by the National Folk Museum of Korea. A variety of visual aids and assembly models allow children to touch and feel pieces and experience folk history in an interactive way. The theme of the exhibitions consists of folk clothing, food, shelter, social life, and entertainment. Located in Samcheong-dong and established in 1981, Cheongwonsanbang Studio is an art studio by Sim Yong-sik (Intangible Cultural Property designated by City of Seoul). He works on various traditional windows and doors with his students, promoting them in Korea and other countries. Doors and windows with beautiful patterns are all over the place in this studio: doors that can hang against a wall, windows decorated with cherry blossoms, comb-patterned windows and so many more. Goyang West Five Royal Tombs is an important historical site comprising a cluster of five royal tombs from the Joseon dynasty, located in the western region. This significant group include the tombs of Crown Prince Uigyeong (1438-1457), the eldest son of King Sejo, at Gyeongneung; King Yejong at Changneung; Crown Prince Sunhui at Sunchangwon; Queen Ingyeong at Ingneung; King Sukjong at Myeongneung; and Queen Jeongseong at Hongneung. Touring these sites typically takes about an hour.
