Nanji Hangang Park, situated north of the Hangang River near World Cup Park, provides a riverside space for leisure and recreation. The park offers Campgrounds, Water Leisure Sports Facilities, Bike Lane, Waterside Plaza, Mirror Fountain, Riverside Pool, a convenience store, and an information center. The Mirror Fountain emits a rainbow-like light with each water spray. The campgrounds are popular for their proximity to the city and affordable fees. Hwagyesa Temple was built in 1522 (the seventeenth year of the reign of King Jungjong of the Joseon dynasty) by monk Shinwol, but was destroyed in a fire in 1618. It was rebuilt the following year, and expanded In 1866 through the efforts of Monks Yongseon and Beomun.
The temple also has various templestay programs for visitors. Hwagyesa Temple is located not too far from the city but also provides a natural environment.

Geomdansan Mountain (alt. 657 m) is one of the major mountains in Hanam. During the Baekje period, it was a sacred mountain where the kings would offer ceremonial services to the gods. From the summit, one can get a great view of Yangsuri, where the Namhangang River and Bukhangang River meet, as well as Hanam, Seoul, Yangpyeong, and Paldangho Lake area.

Due to its proximity to the Seoul Metropolitan Area, it is a popular day trip course. Getting there is easy and the hiking trails, which are not too difficult, are well maintained. From the summit, one can get a great view of Bukhansan Mountain and Dobongsan Mountain in the distance. Hikers can also see Paldang Dam to the east, Yongmasan Mountain to the south, and the Jungbu Expressway to the west.

Haneul Park (하늘공원)

Haneul Park is one of five parks that make up World Cup Park, together with Peace Park, Nanjicheon Park, Nanji Hangang Park, and Noeul Park. It was established for the purpose of restoring the ecological environment so operates its facilities by using natural energy. It features a silver grass field, mixed grassland, rock garden, sunflower field, observatory rest area, and wind power generator. Among the various parts of the World Cup Park, it is located the closest to the sky and shows the transformation from a barren landfill restored to nature. In fall, silver grass forms a spectacle, and, here, visitors can get a clear, panoramic view of Seoul including Bukhansan Mountain and the Hangang River. It is also known as a place for beautiful sunsets and nightscapes.
