The National Theater of Korea opened in 1950 as the first national theater in Asia. It is the only production theater that takes traditional arts to recreate them as contemporary art. It offers various types of theaters, such as Haeoreum Grand Theater, Daloreum Theater (middle-size), Immersive Studio ByeolByeol (small-size), and Haneul Round Theater with a circular stage structure. Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain (반포대교 달빛무지개분수)

The Rainbow Fountain plunges 20 meters into the water on both side of Banpo Bridge over the Hangang River. When the sun goes down, 200 lights illuminate the fountain as it sends out dancing, rainbow-colored jets of water in the air in synchronization with music. The fountain boasts spectacular views from the hills, the Hangang River observation deck, and the moon-shaped Moonlight Square. Banpo Bridge Rainbow Fountain operates every day from April to October, four to six times a day for 20 minutes.

Seorae Village (서래마을)

Seorae Village is located in between Banpo 4-dong and Bangbaebon-dong in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Seorae Village took its form as a French neighborhood when French residents moved to the area after Ecole Francaise de Seoul, a school for French residents in Korea, was established here in 1985. According to 2008 census, about half of the total 1,000 French citizens residing in Korea were registered to be living in Seorae Village. The area naturally took shape as a global neighborhood as many international residents settled at Seorae Village much thanks to the strong presence of French residents. In addition to its convenient location near the central district area as well as Gangnam area and Hangang River Park, Seorae Village serves as a pleasant environment space for all.

Many shops and restaurants in Seorae Village are small in size and rather charming, resembling those in Europe. A bakery that makes traditional French baguettes using ingredients directly imported from France can be found here. In recent years, Seorae Village has undergone several changes, gaining much attention as one of the most modern and fanciest regions found in Seoul.

Nungin Sunwon (능인선원)

Nungin Sunwon, nestled at the base of Guryongsan Mountain, is named after another name of Buddha, Sakyamuni, signifying "the one who skillfully educates and benefits others." This temple complex includes several key structures: the Daeungjeon Hall, the Dharma Hall, the Gwaneumjeon Hall, and the resplendent Great Bhaisajyaguru, known for its golden glow. Additionally, the site houses a Buddhist university, providing a range of programs that cover basic to advanced Buddhist studies.

Hwanghak-dong Flea Market was named after the way how merchants travel from one place to another all over the country, as if like fleas hopping around from one spot to another, to collect rare and valuable items. This market was once a haven of antiques and collectibles, but with the formation of old-fashioned art street in 1983 in Janganpyeong, many classic art shops had moved out, leaving only used item and general goods stores. Now, visitors can find stores selling antiques, used furniture, electronics, clocks, jewelry, musical instruments, camera, and machinery – pretty much anything one can name. Hwanghak-dong Flea Market is also referred to as Dokkaebbi Market, to describe how even the most rundown items become just like new, as if like the work of a dokkaebi (Korean folk goblin).

Maeheon Citizen's Forest (매헌시민의 숲)

Maeheon Citizen's Forest, located near Yangjae Tollgate, was created in anticipation of the Seoul Asian Games in 1986 and the 24th Olympic Games in 1988. The forest provides a scenic habitat for 94,800 trees of 43 different species including pine, zelkova, purple bloom maple, horse chestnut, and nut pine. These trees are rarely seen in cities and the park is a popular date spot for couples. In the fall, the trees in the park bear an abundance of persimmons and quinces.

Amenities and facilities include an outdoor wedding hall, walking course, basketball court, volleyball court (also used for foot volleyball), tennis court, barefoot walking path, and outdoor workout equipment. Memorial sites and monuments like the memorial of Patriot Yun Bong-Gil can also be found scattered throughout the park grounds.

Seoul Folk Flea Market (서울 풍물시장)
