Asan Mediterranean Village, also called Blue Crystal Village, is made up of buildings reminiscent of those found in a Mediterranean village. It is particularly interesting because it is housed in the heart of a modern city. Cheonjin is a Chinese restaurant near the Cheonan Terminal. It has been passed down generations after being founded by a second-generation Hwagyo (member of the Chinese diaspora in Korea). The restaurant offers authentic Chinese dishes in its lunch and dinner courses. The course menus include Cantonese Shark’s Fin, jeongabok (stir-fried assorted seafood), yangjangpi (starch sheet salad with mustard sauce), and gochujapchae (chili pepper japchae), culminating in jjajangmyeon (black bean sauce noodles) or other noodle dishes and fruits as dessert. There are also a la carte menus like jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), udon, and tangsuyuk (deep-fried pork with sweet and sour sauce).
