There are a variety of exhibitions of relics excavated from the Seokjeong-ri area as well as educational programs available for visitors to learn more about the Paleolithic Period. The Archaeological Site in Seokjang-ri, Gongju is located approximately 6 kilometers out of the city of Gongju, on the northern banks of the Geumgang River. The site is one of Korea's representative relic sites of the Old Stone Age, and is designated Historic Site No. 334. The site was excavated 10 times between 1964 and 1974 by teams from Yonsei University Museum. The excavation of 27 layers of stratum produced relics proving people lived in the area through 11 cultural eras. The area was excavated again in 1990 and 1993, producing even more cultural artifacts and helping to create a clearer image of the people living in that time.

E-An Land (이안숲속)

E-An Land Forest was established in 1999 when 1,836 arbor species and 1,418 herb species were planted on a land area of 1,118 hectares. The forest features a tropical garden and various other exhibition gardens, as well as thematic spaces like the Haneul Maru. The forest was finally completed in 2006. Inside the arboretum, there are various things to see such as the herb village, parakeet exhibitions, a pine tree garden, and man-made cave. There is also a mini golf course and an outdoor swimming pool. Visitors can also use the onsite pensions and the auto camping site for accommodation, making the E-An Land Forest a great place for family and group visitors.

Yeongpyeongsa Temple (영평사)

A branch of Magoksa Temple, which is the 6th local temple of the Jogyejong Order, Yeongpyeongsa Temple has six traditional buildings and three small hermitages. Janggunsan Mountain, where the temple is located, is small but full of energy. According to Feng Shui, the mountain is a perfect location for a temple because it is shaped like a dragon curled along the Geumgang River. Yeongpyeongsa is a tranquil place that captures the purity of the temple’s Buddhist practice, with fresh air and clean water that offer a habitat for fireflies, crawfish, and black snails. On the way in, visitors are greeted by a multitude of wildflowers vying for their attention: the columbines and the prairie crocuses in spring, the white lotuses in summer, and the Siberian chrysanthemums in autumn.

Geumgang Recreational Forest (Arboretum, Forest Museum) (금강자연휴양림(금강수목원,산림박물관))

Along the river from Gongju toward Daejeon there is Geumgang River to the right. Following this river, there is a red arch-shaped bridge on the right called Bultigyo Bridge. Geumgang Recreational Forest, a large and well-organized forest, is located on the other side of this bridge. In the past, this remote village can only be reached by boat. In 1994, the Chungnam Forest Environment Research Institute moved to this area and designated the well-preserved dense forest as Geumgang Recreational Forest, and the Forest Museum opened in October 1997. Geumgang Recreational Forest is different from other recreational forests. Rather than a dense forest with a trail, this forest has a variety of attractions such as the Forest Museum, an arboretum, greenhouse, pond, and wildlife park scattered on well-maintained roads, giving the impression of a city park.

Haklimjae (학림재)

Hakrimjae is a hanok stay in Taesan-ri, Janggun-myeon, Sejong City, Chungcheongnam-do. The house and yard are rented out as a unit. The hanok has three sleeping rooms, a kitchen, a living room, and two bathrooms. Within the valley, visitors can enjoy forest walks and view attractions such as the Yongmunpokpo Falls.

Mokhyangjae in Sejong City, Chungcheongnam-do, is a hanok pension built in the style of a palace with beams and pillars of thick red pine. The exposed beam ceilings and hanji-covered sliding doors add to the feel of a grand old house. Visitors can purchase distinctive works created by artists and enjoy hands-on activities like coiling, using a spinning wheel, and painting pottery.
