Yeonmujang-gil in Seongsu-dong, known for old factories and a shoe workshop street, has been reborn as a place of trendy cafes and culture. The energy of car repair shops, printing factories, and handmade shoes street still exist today but, as global restaurant brands, select shops, and cafes have set up amidst busily operating factories, an atmosphere unique to Seongsu-dong has been created. "Daerim Warehouse" led to the change in the Seongsu-dong streets and can be said to be the originator of all warehouse-style cafes that are popular throughout Cafe Street today. Yeonmudae (Dongjangdae) (연무대 (동장대))

Yeonmudae located inside Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Situated on a relatively high hill between Changnyongmun (the east gate of the fortress) and Hwahongmun (a north floodgate), Yeonmudae is an excellent military observation post with sweeping views of the inside of the fortress. After the fortress was completed in 1796, Yeonmudae was used as a training ground for troops for over two centuries, where they learned fighting skills involving swords, spears and arrows.

At Yeonmudae, visitors can learn archery while wearing traditional military attire; the fortress also offers a wide array of performances for visitors to appreciate traditional Korean culture. Yeomudae is included in the Suwon City Tour course.

Some Sevit (세빛섬)

Some Sevit is a culture complex made up of three man-made floating islands near the southern end of Banpo Bridge. The islands were created with the theme of "flowers of the Hangang River" and represent the view, life, and the earth, as well as a flower in various stages of life. The largest island, 'Some Gavit' symbolizes the view and takes the form of a flower in full bloom. It is a multi-functional cultural facility that can be used as a venue for performances, international conferences, exhibitions, and more. The second island, 'Some Chavit' looks like a flower bud, an image of life. A range of cultural experiences and event zones including Beat Square, Youth Woods, and restaurants using 3D to bring themes to life are located here. The third and smallest island, 'Some Solvit' takes the form of a seed planted in the earth. This island has water sports facilities and an outdoor garden from which you may enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Hangang River. Around the floating islands are LED lights that create a fantastic night view under the theme of "a gleaming light in the mist."

Hwaseong Fortress Tourist Trolley (화성어차)

With a design inspired by the royal vehicle used by King Gojong and palanquins of the Joseon dynasty, Hwaseong Fortress Tourist Trolley provides visitors with a comfortable tour around the main attractions of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress. It is divided into a sightseeing course that starts at Hwaseong Temporary Palace and visits the main gates, and a circular course that starts at Yeonmudae Post and visits the main military facilities. Reservations are required on the website. All seats are equipped with an earphone jack offering an audio guide of Suwon Hwaseong Fortress in English, Chinese and Japanese.
