Pocheon Sansawon is a museum of traditional Korean liquor, mainly home-brewed liquor. Several rows of liquor crock pots in Sewollang, the garden in Sansawon, create a magnificent view. Old materials and books about the history of Korea's liquor culture attract visitors. After touring the museum, visitors can try non-sterilized liquor of Baesangmyeon Brewery and join activity programs for making home-brewed liquor, fruit-based liquor, seasonal liquor, and more.

Unaksan Mountain rises 934.7 meters above sea level. Oddly shaped rocks and peaks make the landscape particularly beautiful. Historical relics from the Later Goguryeo period, including the site of a fortress for Gung Ye (the first king of the short-lived Later Goguryeo state) can be seen on the mountain. Majestic peaks surround Mangyeongdae, the main peak, and forests of broad-leaved trees turn striking colors in the fall.

The trails are beautiful with purple magnolias in mid-April and azaleas and mountain magnolias in May. The Unaksan Mountain Autumn Leaves Festival is held in mid-October every year as the leaves begin to turn. Together with Gwanaksan, Chiaksan, Hwaaksan, and Songaksan Mountains, Unaksan Mountain is one of the five most rugged mountains in the Central region and a popular one.

The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon is situated in the hot springs region of Pocheon-gun. Many visitors from the Seoul and Gyeongin areas come for the high-quality water that comes from the hot springs located 800~1000 meters underground.

Visitors to the Ildong hot springs region also enjoy the famous Idong galbi (grilled meat), visit the nearby Baekunsan, Gwangdeoksan, Cheonggyesan, and Unaksan Mountain ranges and also visit Nasan Golf Course and Ildong Lake.

The Ildong Jaeil Oncheon’s hot springs water are known to be effective in treating rheumatism, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, neuralgia, women’s diseases, arthritis, and various skin ailments.

Dongducheon Recreational Forest (동두천 자연휴양림)

Dongducheon Recreational Forest is a national forest park that opened in 2020. It offers various accommodation options such as Forest House, Forest Condo, and a campground. Reservations can be made through their website. Forest experience programs vary by period and can be signed up for at the visitor center, based on availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.

Located inside Herb Island (a tourist farm spanning 329,000 square meters), Herb Island Herb Healing Center is the largest herbal botanical garden, registered as a class 1 specialized museum (botanical garden) with a botanical garden and exhibition halls (110,000 square meters). Approx. 250 kinds of herbs and various other plants are planted inside the herbal plant museum so visitors can see beautiful green plants throughout the year. The herbal plant museum consists of a total of four exhibition spaces, three indoor and one outdoor. Each exhibition space is themed around certain herbs and plants, adding to the fun of touring the museum.
