Located in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, this picturesque valley takes its source from the 900-meter high Kalbongsan Mountain, winding around Ongnyeobong Peak. Stretching over 24 km, it is home to nine remarkable sights, earning it the nicknames "Nine Okgye Valleys" and "Nine Yongchu Valleys." Blanketed by pine nut forests, the valley’s clear waters flow past rocky walls and ridges, forming natural pools along its course. A notable highlight is the 5-meter tall Yongchupokpo Falls about 6 kilometers upstream, accompanied by a legend of a dragon’s ascent to heaven; a deep groove in the adjacent sloping rock is believed to be the dragon’s resting spot. Flanked by Yumyeongsan, Jungmisan, and Eobisan Mountains, the valley offers an excellent short hiking route for a half-day excursion.

Located at the foot of Kalbong Mountain in Gapyeong, BROOK5 is a large-scale pension that offers 20 different room types, including pool villas, kid-friendly rooms, and standard guest rooms. Located at the foot of Bonghwasan Mountain in Chuncheon, Gugok Falls with a x_height of 50 m is one of the representative tourist destinations in the Gangchon area. It was named “Gugok” because the falls twist (gok) and turn nine (gu) different times before dropping down, and is also called “Guguripokpo.” Gugok Falls flowing down from a huge stone wall create fantastic scenery. Many tourists visit the falls every year to enjoy cool, refreshing water to overcome the heat wave in summer and to admire a majestic view of the giant ice wall in winter. The road from the ticket booth to the falls is gentle and requires about 20 min walk. It is an easy walking path surrounded by woods and the valley. Visitors can also try to find the nine wooden panels inspired by the spirit of Gugok and designed with Hangeul alphabet “ㄲ” letters (such as 꿈, 끼, 꾀, 깡, etc.). If you go up for about 40 min along the Kkalttak Pass, which is on the right side of the Gugok Falls entrance, you will find Munbae Village, nestled in a basin. The village restaurants are known for local dishes, such as wild vegetable bibimbap and folk liquor. Visitors can also stay overnight at the National Leisure Campground built in the Gukgok Falls Tourist Area.

Saekhyeon Tunnel (색현터널)

Saekhyeon Tunnel, spanning 423 meters in length, was first opened in 1939 and functioned as part of the Gyeongchun Line railway up until 2010. After the railway line was rerouted, the tunnel found a new purpose as a section of the Bukhangang Bike Path. It has also earned the nickname "Moss Tunnel" due to the moss that has grown around its entrances. The tunnel, especially known for its distinctive round entrances, has become a favored location for photography enthusiasts.
