Ohburim is a local restaurant near the German Village in Namhae-gun. The highlight of their menu is the Ohburim bapsang (Ohburim set menu), featuring myeolchi hoe (sliced raw anchovy), galchi jorim (braised cutlassfish), and tteokgalbi (grilled galbi patties). The Ohburim bapsang requires advance reservations. Prepared without any chemical seasonings, its flavors come exclusively from myeolchi aekjeot (salted anchovy sauce), doenjang (soybean paste), and sun-dried salt, resulting in clean and unadorned tastes.

Namhae German Exhibition Hall opened on June 28, 2014 to display the history and artifacts related to Korean miners and nurses who were sent to Germany for work in the 1960s. At the time, Korea was one of the poorest countries in the world, with an unemployment rate of 30%. The exhibition hall shows the sad and lonely reality these workers lived through while working away from their home country in order to send money home to their families.

The German Village was built for Korean residents who returned from living in Germany. Many Koreans lived in Germany where they earned foreign currency during the modernization of Korea in the 1960s. The area is now a unique tourism spot related to German culture. In 2001, the areas of Mulgeon-ri, Samdong-myeon, Namhae-gun, where the Windbreak Forest (Natural Monument) is located, underwent a development worth 3 billion won ($2 million USD) implemented by Namhae-gun and eventually formed a village spanning over 99,174 ㎡.
Korean residents in Germany directly imported materials from Germany to build German-style houses. Some villagers who make frequent visits to Germany operate their vacant house as a tourist guesthouse. Attractions nearby are the Windbreak Forest and the Mulmi Coastal Road, one of the most beautiful coastal drives in Korea.

It was selected as one of the “100 Rural Villages to Live and Visit” by the Rural Development Administration.

Daraengi Village in Namhae is famous for terraced rice paddies on a steep hill on the outskirts of Seolheulsan Mountain. The picturesque rice paddies make up 108 steps (consisting of stones and soil) and are great for taking photographs. Located in the south, the village is balmy in winter, and spring greens such as mugwort and spinach sprout before any other place in Korea. Environment-friendly agriculture flourishes because the sea breeze prevents insect pests.
This land of friendly people and fertile soil is home to Daraengi Rice Paddy Festival every spring. The festival offers a slew of interesting programs allowing visitors to experience traditional farming and learn the culture and customs of Daraengi Village.

The Seomi Garden is a formal, natural European garden decorated with old stone walls and ponds of a terraced paddy field, overlooking the beautiful waters of Hallyeohaesang National Marine Park in the South Sea also known as the treasure islands, as well as various herbs and silver grasses growing on the hedges. Just as the walls and gates of a royal palace are both independent and connected at the same time to create spaces, nine small gardens are divided by the concept of rooms by using the x_height differences of the terraced paddy field, and each room has a unique appearance while, sometimes, they all mingle with one another to show different scenery.

Barae-gil Road gets its name from the belief of Namhae families that the ocean provides us with everything we need. The road was designed to provide means of exercise, as well as provide life experiences through participating in activities along the way, such as farming and fishing.
