Noam Tunnel is a hidden attraction of Gangneung, stretching from Ipam-dong to Jungang Market. The old train tunnel was put out of use with the construction of the newer KTX line, and has now become a must-see attraction along the Gangneung Bau-gil Trail.

Nestled between Gyeongpodae Beach and Yeongok Beach, Sacheon Beach is a clean and quiet beach covering an area of 18,000 ㎡ over a length of 300 meters. The beach opened on July 1, 1975; due to its close location to Gyeongpo Provincial Park, many vacationers choose to come here during the holidays. A thick pine forest spreads out against the beach, and the fine white sand and shallow waters make this area an ideal place for rest and relaxation.

The beach is located in Songjeong-dong with white sand, a length of 700 meters, and an area of ​​25,000㎡. The surrounding area is famous for its pine forests. It is said that when Choi Mun-han, the wife of King Chungsuk of Goryeo, came to Gangneung from Songdo, he brought 8 pine trees and planted them here. There is also the world's largest Charmsori Gramophone and Audio Museum, making it a great place to enjoy the summer and music. Visitors can also stay in the surrounding area, and accommodation facilities such as inns and hotels, are available in the Gyeongpo or downtown area.

Gangneung Moraenae Hangwa Village enterprise specializes in producing hangwa (traditional Korean sweets). These sweets are crafted using age-old methods that have been passed down through generations in the village. Additionally, visitors have the oppotunity to sign up for a traditional hangwa-making experience, although it is important to note that reservations must be made in advance via telephone. The enterprise is conveniently located 12 kilometers from Gangneung Station, a mere 15-minute drive by car.

Gangneung is as renowned for its delicious coffee as it is for its scenic coastline. Strolling along the cafe-lined beaches of Gangneung, visitors can experience a coffee aroma that rivals the sea breeze. Famous coffee manufacturers attend the Gangneung Coffee Festival and hold a tasting event. At the opening ceremony, 100 baristas hold a “100 People 100 Tastes” performance where they simultaneously brew hand-drip coffee. Visitors are welcome to taste 100 kinds of coffee at this special event. During the festival, competitions are held to select the No. 1 barista for each category, including latte art, hand drip, and roasting. Tourists can also visit cafés in Gangneung that are taking part in the festival and receive a stamp to get a prize. Coffee enthusiasts should not miss this opportunity.

Anmokhaebyeon Beach (안목해변)

Anmokhaebyeon Beach spans over 500 meters in length and covers an area of 20,000 square meters. The beach is often packed with families on vacation. Right in front of the beach is Anmokhang Port, where around 23 fishing boats can be moored to unload their catch throughout the year. The place has also become more popular since the main street along the beach earned the reputation as a "coffee street."

With almost all coffee shops in the area roasting their own coffee beans, Gangneung is well-recognized as the "city of coffee."
