This is the fastest way to go downhill from Sanbok road to Busan port. The stairs are known to be as tall as a 6-story building and have exactly 168 steps. In the past, there used to be 3 wells located at the bottom of the stairs, which locals would wait in line to draw water when there was insufficient water, but now, there is only one well with drinking water.

Located near Busan Station, Choryang Ibagu-gil street was formed when people started building houses on top of the hill during the time of poverty. An observatory, Ibagu Archive Center, Yu Chi-hwan Postbox, and other places perfect for photos can be seen along the road leading up to the hilltop. Atop the hill, a wide road known as the Sanbok Road features an open view of Busan's downtown within a sight. The night scene is especially beautiful from this road, as the lights from the neighborhood twinkle and gleam as the surrounding area gets darker.

Gugine Nakji Bokkeum is an octopus restaurant that local people in Busan frequently visit. The restaurant sticks to the essentials of octopus cuisine: nak gop sae (stir-fried octopus, small intestine and shrimp), a fantastic combination of octopus and tripe; sannakji jeongol (octopus hot pot); and hot seaweed-flavored yeonpo tang (octopus soup). Among these, the most famous menu is nak gop sae. Nak gop sae is a stew made with octopus, small beef or pork intestines, and shrimp together with various vegetables. Although it originated in Busan, it is now a popular dish throughout Korea for its spiciness and unique flavors. Gugine Nakji Bokkeum offers spiciness options, allowing their customers to choose between spicy and mild flavors. Visitors used to spicy food are recommended to try the spicy version while those who are not used to spicy food can enjoy the flavor combination created by the ingredients by choosing the mild version. Located in Gwangan 2-dong, Suyeong-gu, Busan, Halmae (meaning "grandmother" in Busan dialect) Jaecheopguk has a long history of selling jaecheopguk (clear shellfish soup) made with jaecheop, or shellfish, caught from the nearby Gupo area to people who sought refuge in Busan during the Korean War.

Each bowl of cool tasting broth has abundant amounts of jaecheop. Jaecheop has long been widely used as an ingredient to help in relieving hangover symptoms.
