The island is full of dongbaek and pine trees and is connected to the main land by a bridge. The island also has a popular walking trail as well as badminton court, benches and restrooms.

Ilpum Hanwoo is a restaurant near Haeundae Beach serving hanu galbi (grilled Korean galbi). Its signature dish, sanggang kkotgalbi (grilled whole boneless galbi), is a choice cut sourced from top-grade hanu (Korean beef). It is offered in limited quantities. Other hanu gui (grilled Korean beef) menus all feature premium plum-fed beef for rich flavor and tender texture.

The roof is inspired by the slope of Dongbaekseom Island, while the interior design features visual representations of traditional Korean culture. The terrace provides a great view of the Oryukdo Islets, Gwangandaegyo Bridge, and Dalmaji Hill. Visitors to Nurimaru APEC House can enjoy both the beauty of nature and the contemporary design of the building.

Gwangalli Beach (광안리해수욕장)

Located to the west of Haeundae Beach, Gwangalli Beach is 1.4 kilometers long and 25~110 meters wide, and is famous for its fine sand. The area underwent a water purification process, which led the ecosystem to flourish in the nearby river waters. In addition to the beachfront, the Gwangalli area is filled with delicious restaurants and romantic cafes, as well as stores selling famous fashion brands. The area has plenty to offer, but many people come in the evening to take in the bright lights of Gwangandaegyo Bridge, stretching across the horizon.

Busan Fireworks Festival takes place every autumn along Gwangalli Beach.
