Entre las muchas atracciones del monte Yudalsan se encuentra el pico Nojeokbong, un lugar de visita obligada en Mokpo. Este pico está estrechamente relacionado con la astucia del Almirante Yi Sun-shin, así como una victoria que este obtuvo sin luchar. Durante la Guerra de Imjin (1592-1598), el Almirante Yi tenía que encontrar una manera de derrotar a los japoneses invasores y contaba solo con una reducida tropa. Los enemigos pensaron que habría tantos soldados como los sacos de alimentos y se echaron en retirada en vez de combatir, lo que produjo la victoria sin luchar de Yi Sun-shin.
