The Best Western Premier Kukdo (opened on March 1, 2007) was the first Best Western in Korea. Since then, the Best Western chain has expanded to include 15 different facilities (a total of 1,900 guestrooms) located all around the country.

La palabra haenggung significa que es una residencia real provisoria, un refugio en donde el rey descansaba o se retiraba de la guerra. El palacio Hwaseonghaenggung es el mayor de estos refugios; los reyes lo utilizaron desde el período del rey Jeongjo, que gobernó entre 1776 y 1800. Este es el palacio temporal en donde el rey Jeongjo se alojó cuando celebró un espléndido festín en el 60° cumpleaños de su madre, Hyegyeonggung Hong, y otros eventos más. En particular, Nangnamheon es el lugar en donde el rey Jeongjo dio una fiesta a los soldados para conmemorar el 60 cumpleaños de su madre, y aquí concedió certificados a los candidatos que habían tenido éxito en los exámenes nacionales especiales.

This restaurant's feature items are its Samseon-nurungjitang, Dongpayuk, and Seafood Galbi. Seafood is plentiful in the Samseon-nurungjitang, making for a delicous soup base to which nicely browned rice is added later. When the browned rice is added to the soup base, a loud crackling noise is heard, which signals the beginning of a delicious meal.

El tren de Hwaseong circula entre el monte Paldalsan y Yeonmudae. La parte delantera del tren tiene forma de la cabeza de dragón, que simboliza el vigor del rey Jeongjo, y vagones con la forma del palanquín del rey.
