Fundado en 1926, el antiguo edificio del Ayuntamiento de Seúl es de piedra, de estilo renacentista. La plaza delante del Ayuntamiento es un sitio histórico donde se realizaron el Movimiento de Independencia de 1919 (Samil) y el movimiento de pro-democracia en junio de 1987. Es también un lugar conocido porque, durante la Copa Mundial de Fútbol de 2002, decenas de miles de admiradores del seleccionado nacional se congregaron para aclamarlo. Esta plaza de hierba oval delante del Ayuntamiento de Seúl, reestablecida en 2004, es usada como un lugar para sostener varios acontecimientos y festivales culturales, y es para el disfrute por muchos seulitas. En invierno, la Plaza de Seúl, frente al Ayuntamiento de la ciudad, se convierte en un complejo de pistas de patinaje sobre hielo. Antes de convertirse en un espacio de arte en 2007, Tongui-dong Boan sirvió como lugar de descanso para los viajeros desde 1942 hasta 2005. Después de una breve pausa, el lugar se renovó como espacio cultural en 2017 para continuar con su legado histórico y brindar creatividad e inspiración bajo el concepto de "Boanstay".

Get off the subway at Gyeongbokgung Station (Subway Line 3), follow the wall of the Gyeongbokgung Palace and you'll find yourself facing a street with majestic trees whose foliage changes every season. This street leads directly to Samcheong-dong. As you enter Samcheong-dong and walk towards the Samchong-dong Tunnel, you'll come across Samcheongdong Sujebi, located right next to the Prime Minister Legation.

Samcheongdong Sujebi became a hit among Japanese tourists, after being featured in a popular Japanese magazine. The main dish here is, of course, sujebi (a traditional Korean soup consisting of chunks of dough and various vegetables). It comes in a pot full of sliced pumpkin, clams, and potatoes. This delicious soup is so tasty that there's almost always people lined up outside the restaurant. Other popular items include dongdongju (traditional Korean liquor) and gamjajeon (a Korean potato pancake that uses only potato starch and no other ingredients).
