Esta galería, inaugurada en 1992, tiene grandes dimensiones: posee 2 pisos, con 4 salas de exposición. La institución organiza exposiciones de todo tipo: arte oriental, occidental, coreano, de escultura, etc., por lo que es un destino imperdible durante una visita a Insa-dong. Más que ser un espacio destinado únicamente a las exposiciones, trata de desarrollarse como un complejo cultural artístico.

A popular attraction since the early 1970’s, this rather shabby and hard-to-spot restaurant has attracted many customers with its representative menu item, haemul kalguksu (seafood noodle soup). The soup is delicious and plenty enough for a hearty meal compared to its relatively low price. The noodles are chewy as they are freshly prepared every day and the clam-broth soup is full of flavor. The appearnce of this restaurant may seem old, but it's a recommended spot for a simple and delicious meal.

El museo que une el palacio Deoksugung con el palacio Gyeonghuigung fue construido en la parte restante de la antigua Corte Suprema en el estilo de los años 1920. Los 6 espacios de exposición más importantes son el vestíbulo principal, la sala de esculturas y la sala especial que expone colecciones de arte moderno de Corea. En el vestíbulo Chon Kyung-Ja, situado en el segundo piso, los visitantes podrán contemplar 93 pinturas procedentes de donaciones. Principalmente retratos o pinturas de naturaleza muerta creadas de 1940 a 1990 por el artista Chon Kyung-Ja, considerada como la principal pintora femenina coreana. La sala de arte experimental puede acoger alrededor de 200 visitantes y tiene una multifuncionalidad ya se trate de proyecciones cinematográficas, música, conciertos, teatro, etc. El museo tiene una tienda de arte y una cafetería. Después de la visita del museo, tómese el tiempo de pasear y apreciar el lugar, dé una vuelta por la tienda de arte.

Imun Seolnongtang (이문설농탕)

Imun Seolnongtang has been serving its hearty seolleongtang for over a hundred years since it first opened in 1907. Even its name has a long history: the word imun comes from Imun-gol, the now-obsolete name of the restaurant’s location, and seolnongtang, an old variation of the word seolleongtang. During the Japanese ocupation rule, the restaurant’s regular customers included Gijeong Son, the marathon gold-medalist at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. To make the rich seolleongtang broth, beef meat and bones are simmered for more than 15 hours. Try putting rice and minced green onion in your seolleongtang for a warm and tasty experience. Kkakttugi (diced radish kimchi), provided as a side dish, is also delicious.

Korea Samgyetang serves up delicious samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) made using only 4-year-old ginseng cultivated in Geumsan (a town famous for its ginseng) and chickens raised on local farms. The chicken is boiled with high-quality ginseng, dates, garlic, glutinous rice, and various medicinal herbs to make a flavorful and energizing soup.

La Calle de los Hanok de Ikseon-dong es la calle que conecta la salida 6 de la Estación de Jongno 3(sam)-ga con el hotel Ibis Ambassador Insadong. Esta calle, con edificios de estilo tradicional coreano hanok como ninguna otra en Seúl, se ha convertido en un sitio de visita obligada en los recorridos por la capital de Corea para visitantes nacionales e internacionales. Alberga muchos restaurantes, cafés y tiendas en edificios hanok renovados. En el pasado, este barrio estaba cerca de los palacios de la dinastía Joseon, por lo que era el hogar de dignatarios de alto rango, incluidos aristócratas prominentes. Debido a esto, hay muchas casas grandes con techos de tejas (giwajip), lo que le da a la calle un aspecto tradicional.
