Es un jardín botánico en donde conviven las flores con el agua. El nombre del jardín, Semiwon, deriva de la composición de dos caracteres chinos que significan “renueva el corazón cuando veas el agua y embellécelo mirando las flores”. Para simbolizar este nombre, todos los caminos del jardín están formados por tablas de lavar ropa, así los visitantes también puedan sentirse renovados caminando cerca del río Hangang y observando las flores, poesías y la exposición fotográfica de las flores de loto.

Semiwon es un lugar que demuestra que el ambiente puede llegar a convertirse en patrimonio y cultura. El jardín presenta varias salas temáticas: la Sala de las Flores de Loto del Mundo, es un lugar en donde podrá observar las hermosas flores de loto durante todo el año, el Centro Académico Ambiental, en donde se realizan experimentos de las plantas con capacidad de purificar el ambiente, áreas en donde se estudia e investiga nuevas especies de flores de loto para comprobar si ayudan a purificar y aumentar la cantidad de agua del río Hangang, espacios destinados a la exposición de plantas y flores acuáticas, galerías en donde exhiben fotografías y obras artísticas de la naturaleza, entre otros espacios destinados a enriquecer la naturaleza, el arte y la cultura.
