Valle Gayadong (가야동계곡)

Ubicado en el centro del monte Seoraksan, el valle Gayadong es muy tranquilo en comparación con otros valles de Seoraksan, lo que lo hace parecer un arroyo tranquilo. El camino que lleva al valle Gayadong comienza desde el sendero tras el refugio Suryeomdong. Continuando unos 30 min por el recorrido, se encontrará con el arroyo que fluye desde la cascada Ose. Frente a la caída de agua, hay acantilados de 40 metros de alto llamados Portal Cheonwan, que es considerado como la entrada hacia Gayadong. Pasando el Portal Cheonwang se encuentra la cascada Cheonwang, y a una distacia de un kilómetro, está la cascada Waryongyeon. Sobre Waryongyeon se puede ver la roca Neoreokbawi. Continuando el camino, se econtrará con una intersección: el camino de la izquierda es el antiguo sendero hacia Oseam y el camino de la derecha, que hoy en día se llama Tapgol, es el sendero en dirección a Bongjeongam. Si desea ver el panorama completo, deténgase un momento en Mangyeondae en su camino hacia Oseam, pero si continúa el recorrido llegará a la cadena montañosa Muneomi. En esta cordillera, el camino se divide en dos: una hacia la cordillera Bongynong y otra hacia el valle Cheonbuldong. Si desea llegar al pico Daecheongbong del monte Seoraksan, pase por el refugio Huiungak en dirección de los picos Socheon y Jungcheon. El camino hacia el valle Gayadong es más accesible, pero no dispone de carteles ni escaleras. Comparado con el valle Cheonbuldong, que es visitado por muchos turistas, el valle Gayadong es más tranquilo y se puede disfrutar de los panoramas y la naturaleza.

Yeonggeumjeong hace referencia al área que cubre la costa del faro de la ciudad de Sokcho. El nombre Yeonggeumjeong viene del sonido que hacen las olas al golpear las rocas, el cual es comparable a la melodía del geomungo (instrumento tradicional de 6 cuerdas).
