Its signature dishes are hanu gui (grilled Korean beef) and songibeoseot jeongol (pine mushroom hot pot). The restaurant prides itself on serving tender and juicy Korean beef, which pairs exceptionally well with the pine mushrooms, a regional specialty known for their superior flavor, especially when grilled with the beef. Estas setas crecen debajo de los pinos adultos, en ocasiones son nombrados como “setas de oro”, debido a que precisan un ambiente y cuidado especial. Yangyang es famoso por su producción de setas de pino de alta calidad y por su almacenamiento estricto de los productos. Este festival ofrece la oportunidad de conocer más a fondo el proceso de producción de las setas y también permite participar en su recolección. Hay platos deliciosos con aromas peculiares preparados con estas setas.

Festival del Salmón de Yangyang (양양 연어축제)

El río Namdaecheon comienza en el valle del monte Odaesan, Buyeon-dong. Este gana tamaño y fuerza al acercarse a Eoseongjeolli, en Hyeonbuk-myeon, antes de llegar al Mar del Este. Los salmones, que desovaron en el río Namdaecheon nadan hasta el Mar del Este para crecer, de tres a cinco años, en el mar de Bering, antes de volver al Río Namdaecheon entre finales de octubre y noviembre. El Festival del Salmón de Yangyang comenzó como competición de pesca a mediados de noviembre de 1996. Cada año, se organiza un gran número de actividades relacionadas con el salmón, atrayendo a un gran público impaciente por pescar salmones.

Playa Naksan (낙산해수욕장)

Abierta en 1963, esta playa que representa el Mar Este de Corea es famosa por su blanca arena, aguas cristalinas y el exhuberante bosque de pinos, y los lugares históricos y un templo de renombre que se ubican a su alrededor son otra de las razones por las que esta sea una de las playas más visitadas y buscadas por los coreanos. El puerto de Jeonjin es un puerto marítimo no muy grande, pero capaz de atraer a muchos turistas por su ambiente cómodo y familiar. Aquí es posible comprar productos marinos a un precio increíble y disfrutar de distintos eventos que se celebran cada año. Pabellón Uisangdae del Templo Naksansa (낙산사 의상대)

Uisangdae se ubica sobre la colina junto al mar, en el camino hacia la cueva Gwaneum de la ermita Hongnyeonam del templo Naksansa. Es un pequeño templo construido donde su fundador, el monje Uisang (625-702) durante el reinado del rey Munmu (661-681) de Silla, solía meditar. El actual pabellón fue construido en 1925. Hongnyeonam es un lugar que no se debe perder cuando visite el pabellón Uisangdae. Se cree que fue construido después de 5 años de la culminación de Naksansa.

Uisangdae fue levantado contra el acantilado, junto a una cueva rocosa, haciéndolo parte de un fantástico paisaje además de su espectacular vista del amanecer. Songgang Jeongcheol, un poeta de mediados del período de Joseon (1392-1910), expresó sus sentimientos sobre la espectacular contemplación del amanecer desde Uisangdae de la siguiente manera: “Después de que hayan caído las flores del peral, cuando los cuclillos cantan tristemente, me despierto en medio de la noche y subo por las colinas del este del monte Naksan para sentarme en Uisangdae y ver el amanecer, donde las propicias nubes parecen florecer y seis dragones levantar el sol. Cuando el sol comienza a subir rápidamente desde el mar hacia el cielo, el mundo entero parece temblar y el sol es aún más brillante y resplandeciente que mil velas encendidas”. Así es como el amanecer desde Uisangdae ha maravillado a muchas personas desde hace tanto tiempo.

Arroyo Namdaecheon (남대천)

Situado en el distrito de Yangyang-gun de la provincia de Gangwon-do, el arroyo Namdaecheon es el más largo de todos los arroyos y ríos de la región de Yeongdong, y también está considerado como el más limpio. El origen del río en el valle Beopsuchiri es famoso por su agua limpia, considerada como la más pura de toda la provincia de Gangwon-do. El 70% de todos los salmones de Corea retornan al Namdaecheon a finales de octubre, justo a tiempo para el festival anual dedicado al salmón.

Templo Naksansa (낙산사)

El templo Naksansa se ubica a 4 km hacia el norte de la playa Naksan y tiene una historia de 1.300 años. Este templo fue fundado por Uisang, el embajador del 30mo. rey de Silla (57 a.C -935 d.C). Posee en su interior una pagoda de piedra de siete niveles, Dongjong, Hongyaemun y otros patrimonios culturales. Uisang nombró Naksan a este lugar, donde aprendió las oraciones de “Gwansae-eumbosal” después de sus estudios en China. Este templo fue reconstruido varias veces y la forma actual fue completada en 1953.

La entrada al templo Naksansa se realiza por Iljumun y Hongyaemun. Cuando entre al templo por Hongyaemun, podrá ver árboles de bambú negro y paredes de piedra y barro a ambos lados del santuario. La puerta posterior, junto a la campana de cobre, lleva a un pequeño camino en el norte de la playa Naksan y al pabellón Uisangdae y la ermita Hongnyeonam. Uisangdae es un pabellón construido sobre un acantilado junto al mar, el lugar donde Uisang solía meditar. Hongnyeonam es una ermita budista construida por Uisang, sobre una cueva de piedras. En el piso del santuario, hay un hoyo de 10 cm. por donde se puede ver el mar. Pasando el pabellón Uisangdae, sobre el camino de Sinseonbong, hay una imponente estatua budista de piedra llamada Haesugwaneumsang, de 16 metros de altura.
