El Sendero Gangneung Bau-gil tiene un largo de 150 km desde la cordillera Baekdudaegan hasta las áreas de Gyeongpo y Jeongdongjin. Los 10 tramos que forman el Sendero Bau-gil pasan por la costa y la montaña, ofreciendo vistas panorámicas destacadas. 

Bau significa 'roca' en el dialecto de Gangwon-do. La gente de esta región tiene una forma coloquial de llamar a su región, y es 'Gamjabau'. Como el nombre, Gangneung Bau-gil ofrece naturaleza y recorridos espectaculares. Viajando a pie, puede disfrutar tranquilamente del escenario con los pinos que cubren aproximadamente el 70% del bosque.
