El Complejo Turístico Bomun de Gyeongju es un distrito de turismo internacional de Gyeongju, que se conforma alrededor del lago Bomunho. Se sitúa a 6 km al este del microcentro de Gyeongju. La dimensión del área es de 19,38 km², y fue clasificada como un distrito especial de spa y turismo. Es un complejo turístico completo que abrió sus puertas en abril de 1979. A la entrada, las corrientes de agua fluyen desde el lago Deokdongho, impulsando el molino de agua, y corren en una cascada artificial de 12 m de altura.

Dentro del Complejo Turístico Bomun, las instalaciones tales como el centro turístico utilizado como sala de conferencia internacional, campo de golf, centro comercial, y el hotel para turistas se diseñaron al estilo de la arquitectura tradicional coreana. Además, dentro del complejo hay numerosas instalaciones de atracciones y como por ejemplo se puede mencionar un puerto para ferri, la Aldea Yukbu, la Galería de Artes Seonjae, Sala Bomun de Conciertos al Aire Libre, Auto-cine y el "Gyeongju World".

Cada año, de abril a enero del siguiente año, se ejecutan conciertos de música tradicional coreana (gugak) gratis en la Sala Bomun de Conciertos al Aire Libre. También podrá disfrutar de aguas termales en el Distrito de Bomun. Sus termas tienen una temperatura promedio de 35,5 grados, superior a la temperatura de las aguas termales naturales. Parque Nacional de Gyeongju (경주국립공원)

En el Parque Nacional de Gyeongju se preservan los patrimonios culturales de la dinastía de Silla (establecida en el siglo I a.C., que venció a Goguryeo y Baekje; fue la primera dinastía que unificó la península coreana, desde 57 a.C hasta 935 d.C). A diferencia de otros parques del área, este parque está dividido en diferentes distritos individuales, pero la tarifa permite la entrada a todos los distritos del parque, ya que están todos administrados por el gobierno.

Gyeongju es una ciudad con importancia histórica, porque en este lugar se encuentran muchos sitios históricos y reliquias importantes. Gyeongju se divide en 7 distritos junto con el parque. El área de Namsan de Gyeongju se encuentran varias estatuas del Buda, pagodas de piedra y acerca de 100 templos. También puede encontrar el pabellón Poseokjeong, que fue parte de la residencia del rey para los banquetes. El distrito de Namsan contiene muchas reliquias dispersas en la zona y se sentirá que ha viajado a los templos budistas del pasado.

Otro de los distritos es el del monteTohamsan. Aquí encontrará los lugares turísticos más famosos de Gyeongju, incluyendo el templo Bulguksa. El templo Bulguksa fue construido en el año 535, durante el reinado de Beopheung (514 a 540), de la dinastía de Silla y se ubica en una ladera del monte Tohamsan. Frente a Daeungjeon, está el pagoda Dabotap (10,4 metros de alto) hacia el este y el pagoda Seokgatap de tres pisos (8,2 metros) al oeste. Estas dos pagodas son conocidas como las pagodas coreanas de piedra más artísticas. Hacia el este del monte Tohamsan, se encuentra el Seokguram, conocido como la principal escultura artística budista, cuya delicadeza y técnicas son inacalzables con las tecnologías modernas.

Dentro del distrito Daebon se ubica otro sector del Parque Nacional de Gyeongju: la tumba Sujungneung del rey Munmu. Cerca de Sujungenung se encuentra la pagoda de piedra Gameunsaji de tres niveles, que fue construida en honor al rey Munmu.

En el centro de Gyeongju hay un palacio con forma de media luna llamado Banwolseong, y la reliquia de piedra más antigua del Este Asiático, llamada Cheomseongdae (9,2 metros de alto). Cheomseongdae fue construido para ser utilizado como observatorio astronómico durante el reinado de la reina Seondeok (632 a 647).

Entre Cheomseongdae y Wolseong se encuentra el bosque Gyerim, donde se dice que nació el progenitor de la familia Kim, el Kim Al-ji (65-?). Gyerim también fue una vez el nombre del reino de Silla.

Unos 500 metros hacia el oeste de Cheomseongdae está Hwangnamdong. El estanque Wolji, construido para servir a los nobles invitados y realizar banquetes, también se ubica en el centro de Gyeongju.

Finalmente, el Museo Nacional de Gyeongju está en Inwang-dong, donde se preservan reliquias de la dinastía de Silla de hace más de 1.000 años.
