Le Festival de Soraepogu, lancé en 2001, célèbre cette année sa 24ᵉ édition et s’impose comme l’un des principaux festivals maritimes et écologiques de la région métropolitaine. Réputé pour ses crevettes, ses crabes et ses produits fermentés, le port de Sorae attire chaque année près de 7 millions de visiteurs. Les environs regorgent de lieux à découvrir, tels que le parc écologique de Sorae, le musée historique de Sorae, la tour de la crevette (Saeu Tower) ou encore le lac Haeoreum. Organisé chaque automne, le festival propose des activités telles que la pêche aux crevettes géantes, des jeux dans la vase, des ateliers sur la fabrication du sel, ainsi que de nombreux spectacles et animations culturelles.
