Haeunjae (下隱齋), meaning “hermit’s residence,” is a hanok (traditional Korean house) residence located in Seochon Hanok Village, near Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. It is dedicated to the ideal of “movies and rest,” and takes after the characteristic form of modern hanok with a small courtyard. The entire house is rented out at once, with a queen bedroom, kitchen, movie room, and two restrooms. Up to 4 guests can reserve the house, with each additional guest above the standard of 2 having access to additional bedding.
The movie room is furnished with a Bose sound system, beam projector, and screen, along with a mobile foot bath. This hanok (traditional Korean house) is located behind Seochon Food Street, located near Gyeongbokgung Station on Seoul Subway Line 3. It is located only 5 min away by foot from the station. Opening the door brings one to a small garden, furnished with stones and moss on a corner, and the interior also speaks to the unique combination of a modern hanok with contemporary sensibilities. The building is divided into the main building and annex building, with the former having two queen bedrooms connected by a living room and kitchen as well as two bathrooms.
The annex building is the hidden jewel of STAY dayoff, which houses a bathtub and a sauna facility behind a beautiful window wall. Situé dans le quartier de Dongdaemun-gu à Séoul (le plus grand marché de distribution d’herbes médicinales en Corée), le musée se trouve sur le site du Bojewon, une institution médicale qui existait durant la dynastie Joseon. Le musée des herbes médicinales de Yangnyeongsi à Séoul a été créé dans le but de préserver et développer la culture des herbes médicinales en Corée. Il expose des reliques orientales et des échantillons d’herbes médicinales.
Ouvert le 13 septembre 2006, le musée possède une énorme variété d’articles : 500 objets utilisés par les praticiens de la médecine des herbes, 420 objets en relation avec le domaine de la médecine orientale, et environ 350 herbes médicinales. De nombreux livres anciens sur le sujet de la médecine herbale sont également exposés dans le musée, aidant les visiteurs non familiers à comprendre les effets de chaque herbe ou technique, et comment celles-ci peuvent être utilisées pour soigner les patients. De plus, le musée abrite aussi une maquette du Bojewon de la dynastie Joseon, une zone d’expérience de la médecine orientale, un auditorium polyvalent, une zone de repos et une boutique.

Dondeokjeon (돈덕전)

Le Dondeokjeon, initialement conçu comme un espace diplomatique de l’Empire Daehan, est un bâtiment occidental à deux étages situé dans le palais Deoksugung. Le terme « Dondeok » signifie « favoriser ceux qui possèdent la vertu et faire confiance aux hommes de bien », les « hommes de bien » désignant ici les nations avec lesquelles il convenait de tisser des liens et de bâtir la confiance. Le Dondeokjeon a été construit à l’origine comme lieu des célébrations du 40ᵉ anniversaire du couronnement de l’empereur Gojong. Détruit par les autorités coloniales japonaises, il a fait l’objet de fouilles archéologiques à partir de 2017 et sa reconstruction a été achevée après environ six ans, avant d’être officiellement rouvert au public en septembre 2023. Récemment inauguré, le Dondeokjeon met en valeur son rôle historique en tant que lieu de diplomatie de l’Empire Daehan. Ses espaces intérieurs accueillent désormais une exposition consacrée à l’histoire diplomatique de l’Empire, ainsi qu’un centre d’archives, une bibliothèque, et des espaces destinés aux échanges culturels et aux événements artistiques nationaux et internationaux.
