Ouverte le 18 juin 2005, la forêt de Séoul servait autrefois de terrain de chasse pour le Roi. Ttukseom, là où se trouve la forêt de Séoul, abritait autrefois successivement une usine de traitement des eaux, un terrain de golf, un hippodrome puis un parc sportif.

Composée de cinq parcs et s'étendant sur plus de 350,000 pyeong (environ 1,16 million de ㎡), la forêt de Séoul est désormais une zone écologique importante de la capitale.

* Cultural Art Park (220,000㎡)
Situé au coeur de la forêt de Séoul le Cultural Art Park abrite le Seoul Forest Square, Ttukseom Family Field, des tapis de fleurs, un centre pour les visiteurs, un skate parc, une scène en plein air, un restaurant, un terrain de jeu et plus.

* Forêt Ecologique (165,000㎡)
Zone autrefois recouverte par le fleuve Han, la forêt écologique est devenu un habitat naturel pour des animaux comme le chevreuil, l'écureuil, le canard, le colvert et plus. Un observatoire vous permettra de mieux observer la faune environnante.

* Zone Naturelle (85,000㎡)
Occupant l'ancien site de l'usine de traitement des eaux Ttukseom cette zone abrite un jardin botanique, un jardin de fleurs sauvages, un jardin à thème et plus.

* Zone Humide Ecologique (70,000㎡)
Cette zone abrite un terrain de jeu écologique, un observatoire à oiseaux, un jardin de fleurs de zone humide et un jardin botanique.

* Parc du Fleuve Han (33,000㎡)
Situé au sud ouest de la forêt, ce parc situé à la jonction du fleuve Han et de la rivière Jungnang-cheon comprend une marina et une aire de repos.
