Le parc national Woraksan se situe entre les monts Baekdudaegan, Sobaeksan et Songnisan. Le mont Woraksan est réputé pour ses cascades et ses étangs. Le site a été désigné parc national le 31 décembre 1984. Le mont est notamment entouré par le lac Chungjuho au nord, les 8 paysages magnifiques de Danyang et le mont Sobaeksan à l'est, et le mont Songnisan au sud. Le plus haut pic de Woraksan est le pic Yeongbong, situé à une altitude de 1097 mètres. Le site est aussi réputé pour ses grandes roches et ses chemins de randonnée. 

Temple Deokjusa

Le temple Deokjusa est une branche du temple Beopjusa, temple principal du 5ème district de l’ordre du bouddhisme coréen de Joggye. On dit que le temple a été fondé par la princesse Deokju, dernière princesse du royaume de Silla, en l’an 586 (9ème année du règne du roi Jinpyeong de Silla), mais son fondateur et la date exacte de sa fondation n’ont pas été vérifiées.

D’après la légende, la princesse Deokju a séjourné dans ces lieux avec le prince Maui, y a construit le temple et l’a baptisé Deokjusa. Le temple se trouvait autrefois en face du bouddha gravé dans la roche Deokjusa Maaebul (trésor n° 406), mais il a été brûlé durant la guerre de Corée. Le temple actuel est le résultat d’efforts de construction entrepris dans les années 1970, et se trouve à 1,7 km du site original.
