Situé à Noam-dong, Gangneung-si dans la province du Gangwon-do, le centre culturel du Dano est un lieu d’informations sur le festival du Danoje de Gangneung. Ce festival de grande ampleur permet d’assister à la fois à une cérémonie du Jesa (cérémonie pour les ancêtres), à un Dano Gut (cérémonie chamanique) et à des jeux. Le Danoje de Gangneung a été enregistré dans la liste du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l’UNESCO en 2000.
C’est ainsi que le centre culturel du Dano a été créé le 19 février 2004 afin de fournir des informations sur le Dano pour aider le public à mieux comprendre ses traditions.
Le centre est composé d’un hall d’exposition et d’une salle de spectacle se faisant face. Le premier abrite des expositions, des salles de projection, une salle des documents et un espace pour les activités. Il accueille également le siège de la commission de conservation du Danoje de Gangneung et de la commission du Danoje de Gangneung et une salle de répétition pour la musique chamanique, ce qui en fait un lieu incontournable pour toutes les personnes ayant un intérêt pour le Danoje de Gangneung.
