Gochang Moyang Fortress Festival has been held since 1973 to inspire admiration for the ancestors who made great efforts in building the fortress, develop local culture, and encourage love and pride for Gochang residents. Main events include a celebration and memorial ceremony, with additional events ranging from a pansori performance and farming music to folk games and archery. Many people participate in the Dapseongdori event, where participants carry a rock on top of their heads and walk around the fortress three times. Doing this is said to cure all illnesses, grant a long and healthy life, and allow one into heaven.

Wanju Wild Food Festival is a 3-day festival taking place in the area of Gosan Recreational Forest. The festival provides environmentally-friendly food experiences using local agricultural products, along with various wild plants and animals from Wanju. Visitors can also enjoy traditional games and experiences such as cheonnyeop (fishing by hand). This festival aims to give visitors a feeling of sentiment for food from the past through partaking in the diverse experiential food programs surrounded by the beautiful natural environment.

Namwon Newly-appointed Governor’s Procession is a fusion performance about the parade for celebrating the appointment of Byeon Hak-do as Namwon governor in the story of Chunhyang, set in Gwanghalluwon Garden, one of Namwon’s representative cultural resources. The event connected to Gwanghalluwon Garden and the Chunhyang Theme Park takes place from April to October every year, giving various spectacles and activities to visitors. The parade starts from the Plaza of Love and ends at Gwanghalluwon Garden, where various shows such as Gisaeng Jeomgo, military processional music performance, Yukbang performance, and a fan dance by gisaeng (female entertainers) are performed. In addition, fun activities like experiencing the punishment of the Joseon dynasty, folk games, and a photo event are arranged for visitors. This performance has been designated as a Standing Cultural Tourism Program since 2008.

Bibimbap was one of the top three foods during the Joseon period and it is thought to be the most favorite Korean meal among foreigners. In particular, Jeonju bibimbap is considered one of the best foods in Korea. It is a nutritious and healthy food comprised of rice with bean sprouts, one of 10 famous foods in Jeonju. Jeonju's bibimbap is decorated with five colors and with five flavors that come from 30 different ingredients including ginkgo, pine nut, chestnut, walnut and fresh seasonal vegetables. It has a balanced nutrition, packed with carbohydrates, fats, protein, vitamins, and minerals alike. It is considered the perfect food embracing the ancestor’s wisdom and scientific theory.
Jeonju is the center of Korea's delicious cuisine and its representative food is bibimbap. Jeonju Bibimbap Festival is held in the area around Jeonju Hanok Village and Korean Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall.

Jirisan Namwon Baraebong Snowflake Festival is held in Herb Valley and the nearby Baraebong Peak area in Namwon-si, Jeollabuk-do.
