To commemorate the soul and spirit of Nangye Park Yeon, one of the three legendary gugak (traditional Korean music) musicians with Wang Sanak and Ureuk in Korea's ancient kingdoms, Yeongdong-gun, the hometown of Nangye, has organized regular performances of Nangye Gugak Troupe sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Nangye Gukak Troupe, the first county-level public gugak performance team, was established in 1991 to inherit the spirit of Nangye. The troupe started its performance with the opening show of the National Gugak Orchestral Music Festival in 1994 and has met audiences about 100 times every year. Meanwhile, the Nangye Traditional Music Museum and the Nangye Traditional Music Instrument Experience Center were opened in 2000 and 2006 respectively, helping Yeongdong-gun be titled the Mecca of Traditional Korean Music. The regular performances given every Saturday in Yeongdong Gugak Village enhances the status of traditional Korean music and reminds us of its value and importance.

The Guard-Changing Ceremony of Woongjinseong Fortress takes place at Gongsanseong Fortress, a part of the Baekje Historic Areas which is a desginated UNESCO's World Heritage Site. The ceremony reenacts the service of the guards defending the castle, using costumes and props based on the strict analysis of the historical records. The ceremony is held every Saturday and Sunday from April to November except during hot summer season of June to August, and conducted every day during the Baekje Culture Festival in the fall. The event includes martial art performances and various experiences as well as the main ceremony, aiming at promoting Gongju-si, where the Baekje culture flourished, and its valuable heritage Gongsanseong Fortress.

Namwon Newly-appointed Governor’s Procession is a fusion performance about the parade for celebrating the appointment of Byeon Hak-do as Namwon governor in the story of Chunhyang, set in Gwanghalluwon Garden, one of Namwon’s representative cultural resources. The event connected to Gwanghalluwon Garden and the Chunhyang Theme Park takes place from April to October every year, giving various spectacles and activities to visitors. The parade starts from the Plaza of Love and ends at Gwanghalluwon Garden, where various shows such as Gisaeng Jeomgo, military processional music performance, Yukbang performance, and a fan dance by gisaeng (female entertainers) are performed. In addition, fun activities like experiencing the punishment of the Joseon dynasty, folk games, and a photo event are arranged for visitors. This performance has been designated as a Standing Cultural Tourism Program since 2008.

Jeongseon Arirang, a musical performance, takes place at the Jeongseon Arirang Center in Jeongseon on days when the Jeongseon Fifth-day Market is taking place. The musical aims to preserve and promote the local cultural intangible heritage of Jeongseon Arirang. Started in 2018, the musical continues to capture the attention of its audience. The performance tells the story of a Joseon dynasty lumberjack, Gimok, who leaves his wife, Jeongseon, and daughter, Ari, behind while he goes to the capital to work on the construction of Gyeongbokgung Palace. After fifteen years of no contact, Ari heads to Hanyang in search of her father.After arriving at the palace, they realize the importance of their hometown and families. The story is told through ten musical numbers, each pleasing to the ears and the eyes. After the musical, the audience can also take pictures with the performers. As an added bonus, a 5,000 won Arirang Voucher comes with the purchase of every ticket, and can be used throughout Jeongseon.
