Opened in October 2007, the National Institute of Biological Resources is the largest collection preservation facility in Northeast Asia. The institute collects, preserves, manages, and conducts research on biological resources with the aim of growing into a focal biological resource hub of Northeast Asia. The institute is comprised of a spine-shaped collections and research center and a leaf-shaped exhibition and education center. The exhibition hall has 3,905 specimens of 1,287 native species on display. Korea's diverse ecosystems are recreated as highly detailed dioramas at the exhibition hall. A small restaurant is located inside the research center, and the extensive grass field in front of the institute provides an ideal picnic spot.

Sudokwon Landfill Site Wildflower Complex Dream Park is an eco-project park that maintains the function of a landfill site while restoring natural habitats and providing citizens with recreational spaces. The Gimpo Tea Etiquette Museum is a private museum where visitors can learn about the history of Korea’s tea culture, dado, meaning tea ceremony in Korea. Approximately 3,000 tea ceremony utensils are on display within the museum, and outside lies a sculpture park and an open-air installation art museum. The museum also has various auxiliary facilities for holding cultural events and performances. There is a pond, a spacious lawn, and a pavilion where visitors can learn about Korea’s traditional culture and ethics in a natural setting.

Pyeongchang Jinbu Makguksu is a restaurant specializing in Pyeongchang memil makguksu (buckwheat noodles), using exclusively high-quality buckwheat flour from Pyeongchang. Their signature dishes include mulmakguksu (buckwheat noodles), bibim makguksu (spicy buckwheat noodles), and deulgireum makguksu (buckwheat noodles with perilla oil). The combination of the pleasantly spicy bibim makguksu and Jeju hanbang suyuk (boiled Jeju pork slices with medicinal herbs) is particularly noteworthy. The restaurant also offers memil jeonbyeong (buckwheat crepe), sonmandu (handmade mandu), and the seasonal hanu sagol manduguk (mandu soup), available only in winter (November to February).

Seonsu Port, officially named Hupohang Port, is the largest port on Ganghwado Island, located near Dongmak Beach. Fishing boats anchored here often travel to and from waters near Seongmodo Island, known as a fishery of large-eyed herring. Visitors will find several hoe (sliced raw fish) restaurants along the port, serving hoe prepared with freshly caught seafood.
The seaside destination is close to many nearby attractions including Jeondeungsa Temple, Dongmak Beach, and a scenic drive along the coast of Ganghwado Island. The port is also known for romantic sunsets which are best enjoyed when viewed from between the port and Dongmak Beach.

Largo ville is a rental cottage resort located at the sea of the end of southern west Ganghwado. The unique appearance of the building exterior, made from volcanic stone, and the architecture in harmony with the surrounding scenery always draws attraction.
