Nunnamujip is famous for a North Korean dish called, “Kimchi mari guksu”, which is a noodle dish in cold kimchi soup containing toasted laver, a boiled egg, and sesame. The soup is refreshingly cold and a little spicy. For “Kimchi mari bap”, a bowl of rice is put into cold kimchi soup instead of noodles. The taste is very unique. In addition to Kimchimari, “Tteokgalbi” is a popular dish on the menu as well.

The main restaurant is located in the basement, which has only limited seating capacity with a few tables. As a result, many people usually wait in line for lunch or dinner. A second franchise has opened in a three-story building across the street. To enjoy a quaint atmosphere, the first establishment is better, but the new one’s interior design is much more modern and fancier, giving it a fresh altering look.

Yeongcheon Market, which was formed in the 1960s near Dongnimmun Gate in Seodaemun-gu, is a marketplace with over 50 years of history and tradition, once famous as one of the largest rice cake wholesale markets in Seoul. It is set up near a residential district, which makes it one of the city's most notable street-style traditional markets that nearby residents frequently visit. The city of Seoul selected the area surrounding 38 Yeongcheonsijang-gil, Seodaemun-gu as the "Future Heritage of July" in 2021.

It is a large-scale traditional market that currently features around 198 stores, and it is well-known for its various foods and snacks such as tteokbokki and twisted donuts sold at about 40% of all shops.

Seoullo 7017 (서울로 7017)

Originally opened in 1970, Seoullo 7017 was an elevated road that crossed over the Seoul Station railway, but when it became dilapidated and unusable for traffic, it was converted into a park in 2017. Hakrim has been in business since its first opening in 1956. It is a special place that has shared its history with the people involved in arts such as theater and dance and intellectuals from nearby universities who flocked to the café after liberation and the Korean War. There is a sign saying “Seoul Future Heritage” hanging at the entrance that demonstrates its historical value. Visitors can observe traces of the past from mementos of people who stopped by, including graffiti on the wall and photos of prominent writers of the time. The café became even more famous as it was used as a filming location for several dramas, including “My Love from the Star (2013)” and “Reply 1988 (2015).” The signature menu here is Vienna coffee and cream cheesecake, which is topped with cute illustrations.
