Mobap is a Korean table d'hote restaurant that serves a hearty traditional set meal. The signature dish is the mobap jeongsik (cast-iron pot set menu), which includes sticky and sweet rice cooked in an cast-iron pot, accompanied by over 10 kinds of side dishes, suyuk (boiled pork slices), fish, and doenjang jjigae (soybean paste jjigae). The Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) is definitely the place to be if you are interested in space. The institute is not a simple promotion center; it is where actual research is done. KARI has led the launching of Naro, Korea's first rocket. In addition, a diverse range of events are available such as, Saturday aerospace class, aerospace camp, vision camp for college students and so on.

In the Satellite Test Building, visitors can see and listen to explanations about a satellite that is currently being researched and tested. They can tour key aerospace facilities such as the Launch Environment Lab, Orbit Environment Lab and Satellite Assembly Lab.

* With the successful launch of rocket Naro, Korea became the 11th country to join the Space Club (a group of countries that have the technologies to launch a space rocket).

Upon finishing his thousand-day prayers in Gyeryongsan Mountain in June 1980, Monk Deoksan came down to the site of an old temple in Noseong-myeon, Hwagok-ri and built Jijangjeongsa Temple. The upper part of the current Daeungjeon Hall was once the main hall of Jijangam Hermitage and was originally about 33 square meters. Daeungjeon Hall was later expanded to its current size. In 1995, Yeongsanjeon (Cheonbuljeon) Hall was built and in 1997, Seonjae Preschool was opened. The temple is open for praying and meditation and also has a charnel house. The temple and its followers are loyally devoted to the practice of Buddhism in its purest form.

The Baegilheon Head House (National Folklore Cultural Heritage No. 273) is the house that was bestowed upon General Yi Sam by King Yeongjo in recognition of his achievement in suppressing the Yi In-jwa Rebellion in 1728. King Yeongjo also granted Yi Sam the posthumous name ‘Baegilheon’. The house is composed of the munganchae (gate quarters) situated next to a tall gate, the ‘ㄷ’-shaped anchae (women’s quarters), and the ‘ㄱ’-shaped sarangchae (men’s quarters), which are configured in an overall square layout. The accommodation includes the munganchae, the araet sarang with a numaru (upper floor), and the wit sarang and the geonneotbang, each of which has a large toenmaru (a narrow wooden porch running along the outside of the building). Notably, the geonneotbang, which is connected with the daecheong (wooden floor) and has a cozy courtyard surrounded by a mud wall, was the living space for the eldest son of the family and his wife for many generations. As the house has been designated as a National Folklore Cultural Heritage, cooking in the guestrooms is strictly prohibited. However, the house provides breakfast prepared by the daughter-in-law of the head house free of charge. The toilets and shower room are situated in the back yard.
