Located at the foot of Kalbong Mountain in Gapyeong, BROOK5 is a large-scale pension that offers 20 different room types, including pool villas, kid-friendly rooms, and standard guest rooms. There are five pool villas, and two kid-friendly rooms with an indoor jungle gym, baby bathtub, milk bottle sterilizer, and potty training seats. Each room has a kitchen and barbecue area. Only some of the guest rooms have whirlpool bathtubs, so make sure to check the availability in advance. There is a heated swimming pool for children and adults available all year round, a cafe next to the pool, and Dumilcheon Steam right in front of the pool, which is a great place to swim in the summer.

Gapyeong Station began operations upon the opening of the Gyeongchun Line on July 25, 1939. The station was damaged during the Korean War and restored on June 12, 1957. The double-tracked Gyeongchun Line was opened on December 21, 2010. The ITX-Cheongchun Train, which includes Gapyeong Station as one of its stops, began operations on February 28, 2012 and travels along the Gyeongchun Line.

Gapyeong's name was given by King Gyeongdeok of the Unified Silla Period to describe the region's natural beauty. Gapyeong and its tourist attractions, Nami Island in particular, grew in popularity after being featured in the Korean drama "Winter Sonata (2003)."

The Jarasum International Jazz Festival is held every October on the beautiful Jaraseom Island in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do. During the festival, world-famous jazz artists come together to delight audiences with the smooth vibes of live jazz.

As a Green Life Honorary Ambassador, the festival is also passionate about environmental protection. In order to share the external growth with the community, the festival holds Gapyeong Band Contest, publishes Gapyeong Restaurant Guidebook, and produces Jazz Makgeolli and Jazz Wine made from the region’s produce.

Located on Jaraseom Island, Nine Forest Ewhawon was renewed in 2015. The garden spans over an area of 33,000 square meters with a 1,090 square meter butterfly ecology center, making it the largest butterfly park in the world. The park offers live butterflies and butterfly specimens all year long through the use of a greenhouse. Visitors can look at exhibitions and learn about butterflies and plants with detailed explanations from professional guides. Jaraseom Island also offers camping sites and hosts various festivals.

Jaraseom Island Auto Campground has been in operation since 2008 with the hosting of the Gapyeong International Camping Caravan Competition. The campground is highly rated as the best campground in the Seoul metropolitan area, offering outstanding natural views of the Bukhangang River, and eco-friendly facilities. Guests can stay in mobile homes, caravans, or at the auto-camping site. Amenities include public cooking areas, restrooms, shower booths, and laundry machines. The campground operates under a reservation basis, accepted over the phone or online. JARA ISLAND takes its name from its view of a hill resembling a terrapin, "jara" in Korean.
