The Busan International Short Film Festival started in the 1997 as Busan Short Film Festival and was renamed as Busan Asian Short Film Festival in 2000, expanding to include short movies from all across Asia. As time went on, the festival once again expanded its scope to include films from around the world and was renamed as Busan International Short Film Festival in 2010.
