The city of Bupyeong is surrounded by Gyeyangsan Mountain, Cheolmasan Mountain, and Manwolsan Mountain, which all form a basin-shaped area in the center. Bupyeong slowly began to establish itself as a city after the opening of Gyeongin railway and the U.S. Army base established right after the Korean War. The journey begins at the Gyeyangsan Outdoor Theater and winds through several notable points including Imhak Ogeori, Mudanggol Mineral Spring, Pigogae Pass, Jingmaeigogae Pass, the Rose Garden, and the Gyeyang Cultural Center, before circling back to the starting point. The trek, which takes approximately two hours to complete, is facilitated by a decked path that extends throughout the route, making it accessible and enjoyable for hikers.

The history of Bupyeong Haemultang Street began 30-40 years ago, when there were just three restaurants on the street. Over the years, the street gained a reputation for serving delicious haemultang (seafood stew), and there are now ten seafood restaurants on the street. Each restaurant offers a rich, yet distinctly different flavored seafood stew prepared with aromatic vegetables and fresh seafood purchased from the marketplace every morning. The Haemultang Street has become so popular that many people travel the long distance from Seoul just for a satisfying meal of seafood stew. The restaurants specialize in stew and steamed seafood dishes, but also continue to develop new fusion menus to please all taste buds.

Onjo, the progenitor of Kingdom Baekje, first settled in Wiryeseong Hanam. But exact location is still unknown. One thing for sure, however, is that Pungnaptoseong Fortress, Mongchontoseong Fortress, Bangidong Ancient Tombs of Baekje, Seokchondong Stone Mound Tomb of Early Baekje are the remains of Baekje. Pungnaptoseong Fortress faces Hangang River to its west and connects to Mongchontoseong Fortress to the south. To the northwest faces Achasanseong Fortress over Hangang River and far to the southeast is Namhansanseong Fortress.

Pungnaptoseong Fortress, located at the south end of Cheonhodaegyo Bridge over Hangang River, is one of the remains of Early Baekje. Originally, the fortress was 4km in circumference, but due to massive overflowing of Hangang River during flood season in 1925, most of the fortress was lost and only 2.7km of it remains. To the east of the fortress are 4 vestiges of the fortress gates. The remains from the prehistoric era through the Samguk (Three States) era have been unearthed, indicating that this place was a residential area well before the Baekje Era. Through vigorous excavation, some people suggest that there used to be a palace located here during the Baekje Era.

Incheon Grand Park Children's Zoo (인천대공원 어린이동물원)

The Children's Zoo of Incheon Grand Park is located near the south gate, and is home to over 230 animals in 27 species. The zoo mostly features gentle animals like rabbits, guinea pigs, Japanese macaques, marmosets, fennec foxes, wallaroos, meerkats, macaws, ostriches, and other non-dangerous animals. The zoo also houses protected Korean animals such as eagles and the Eurasian eagle-owl. To prevent accidents and animal stress, the zoo does not operate any animal feeding programs.
