The Korea-India Artist Camp provides the opportunity for 10 artists from Korea and 10 artists from India to share styles and cultures through a range of programs including creating artworks together and attending workshops. The camp will also interact with the local community. After the camp ends, the 20 finished products will then travel to major cities in both Korea and India in a traveling exhibition.

Started in 2005 and celebrating its 11th festival this year, the Nami Island International Children’s Book Festival is a picture book themed culture and arts festival that offers various programs combining literature, art, music, and nature.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between Korea and Finland, Finland has been designated as the guest country of honor, and “sisu”, the spirit of the Finns, is the main theme of the festival.

From an exhibition of Finland's most beloved character Moomin to lively performances and adventurous activities full of imagination. Come to Nami Island to experience a joyful May filled with fairy tales and festival energy.

Gapyeong Station began operations upon the opening of the Gyeongchun Line on July 25, 1939. The station was damaged during the Korean War and restored on June 12, 1957. The double-tracked Gyeongchun Line was opened on December 21, 2010. The ITX-Cheongchun Train, which includes Gapyeong Station as one of its stops, began operations on February 28, 2012 and travels along the Gyeongchun Line.

Gapyeong's name was given by King Gyeongdeok of the Unified Silla Period to describe the region's natural beauty. Gapyeong and its tourist attractions, Nami Island in particular, grew in popularity after being featured in the Korean drama "Winter Sonata (2003)."
