Located 1.5 kilometers away to the east side of Irun-myeon, Geoje, Jisimdo Island is a very small island covering an area of just 0.338 ㎢ with a 3.5-kilometer long coast line. From Jangseungpohang Port, it takes approximately 15 minutes by ferry and visitors can tour the entire island within 2 hours.

The name of the island comes from its appearance resembling the Chinese character ‘sim (心).’ The island is home to abundant and old camellia trees more than any other islands in the southern sea, earning the nickname "Dongbaek (camellia) Island."

Geoje P.O.W. Camp Historic Park is a park and exhibition hall built on the site of South Korea's largest prisoner-of-war camp, which accommodated up to 173,000 North Korean and Chinese prisoners captured by the South Korean and UN forces during the Korean War (1950-1953). Hansando Island is located in the middle of Hallyeohaesang National Park. Despite this, it is more well-known for its historical importance in connection with Admiral Yi Sun-sin. This is where he commanded the fleets for a majority of the Imjin War (1592-1598). It was also the site of the Great Battle of Hansan.

Deungdaeseom Island, originally called Haeguemdo Island, is known for the lighthouse and beautiful landscape. In 2002, the island was renamed Deungdaedo Island. Somaemuldo Island Lighthouse built in 1917 as an unmanned lighthouse transformed into a manned lighthouse in 1940. The concrete lighthouse is 16 meters in x_height with a light that can reach up to 48 kilometers. The lighthouse is located on Deungdaeseom Island, which is an islet attached to an island named Somaemuldo Island, south of Geojedo Island.
