La Cueva de Gwangmyeong fue una mina hasta 1912, cuando se convirtió en una atracción turística. Se extiende por 7,8 km y alcanza una profundidad de 275 m. Su particularidad radica en que, a diferencia de otras cuevas, se localiza dentro de un área metropolitana, de fácil acceso para los turistas.
