Le lycée Jungang, situé à Jong-ro (près de Samcheongdong-gil), a été construit pour éduquer le peuple au coeur de la crise nationale qui sévissait au début du XXème siècle. Le bâtiment principal de l’école a été construit en 1937 après qu’un incendie ait détruit la bâtisse de deux étages d’origine en 1934. L’architecture gothique moderne de ce bâtiment est particulièrement significative pour les Coréens, car celui-ci a été conçu par un architecte coréen durant l’époque de la colonisation japonaise. Park Dong Jin, qui a conçu ce bâtiment, est l’un des premiers architectes coréens modernes, et a dessiné les plans du bâtiment principal et de la bibliothèque de l’université Korea, ainsi que l’immeuble du journal Chosunilbo. Le lycée Jungang a été désigné site historique n° 281. De nombreux leaders de la nation ont été éduqués derrière les murs de ce bâtiment gothique durant la période sombre où la Corée a tenté d’échapper au joug colonial.
Le bâtiment principal, situé en face de la porte principal, est une bâtisse en granit de deux étages en forme de H, conçu dans le style gothique, avec une tour de quatre étages au centre.

La zone de la porte Seosomun était auparavant un site de persécution durant le 19ème siècle qui a été transformé en parc. De nombreux catholique furent persécutés sur place faisant de ce site un site sacré pour les catholiques en Corée.

La porte Seosomun constitue un passage vers le marché Chilpae près de la porte Namdaemun.

Le 15 mai 1999 une tour commémorative fut inauguré au centre du parc pour commémorer les martyrs. En 2013, le district Jung-gu a également inauguré le Musée d'Histoire Seosumun.

Musée du Vieux Parfum de Bukchon (북촌생활사박물관)

Le Musée du quotidien de Bukchon expose des objets ayant été colléctés à Bukchon, village historique autrefois réservé à la noblesse. Pendant des centaines d’années, de vrais trésors dans chaque résidence furent légués de générations en générations mais depuis le développement rapide de la Corée, dans la seconde moitié du 20ème siècle, certains sont devenus obsolètes. Ouvert en 2003, le musée cherche à préserver des artéfacts en les présentant dans un environnement intime et accueillant où vous pouvez découvrir comment ils étaient utilisés au quotidien.

Les groupes de 10-15 personnes peuvent participer à des programmes leur permettant de fabriquer des objets traditionnels ou à des programmes pour prendre part à la réalisation de ssukgaetteok (gâteau de riz à base d’armoise).

Près du musée se trouvent de nombreuses attractions : le Village Hanok de Bukchon, le Parc Samcheong, le Musée des Hiboux, le Musée ToyKino, Musée des Bijoux du Monde, et le Musée des Palais Nationaux de Corée sans oublier les palais royaux comme celui de Gyeongbokgung.

Get off the subway at Gyeongbokgung Station (Subway Line 3), follow the wall of the Gyeongbokgung Palace and you'll find yourself facing a street with majestic trees whose foliage changes every season. This street leads directly to Samcheong-dong. As you enter Samcheong-dong and walk towards the Samchong-dong Tunnel, you'll come across Samcheongdong Sujebi, located right next to the Prime Minister Legation.

Samcheongdong Sujebi became a hit among Japanese tourists, after being featured in a popular Japanese magazine. The main dish here is, of course, sujebi (a traditional Korean soup consisting of chunks of dough and various vegetables). It comes in a pot full of sliced pumpkin, clams, and potatoes. This delicious soup is so tasty that there's almost always people lined up outside the restaurant. Other popular items include dongdongju (traditional Korean liquor) and gamjajeon (a Korean potato pancake that uses only potato starch and no other ingredients).

This hanok (traditional Korean house) is located in Seochon Village near Gyeongbokgung Palace. It is a modern C-shaped hanok centered around the inner courtyard, which is the first thing that the guests see after entering through the gate. While it is not expansive, white pebbles and a foot bath make this hanok a unique one. One can enjoy a foot bath while sitting on the porch.
The bedroom, which is located beyond the living room, is furnished with a queen-sized bed. Opening the screen doors brings one to the view of the kitchen area beyond the inner courtyard. A large table, plush sofa, and a small bookcase make the space ideal for books and discussions. Climbing the wooden ladder to the side of the kitchen brings one to the attic, which also doubles as a Korean-style room with a skylight. The kitchen is furnished with a refrigerator, microwave oven, gas stove, electric kettle, toaster, pots, utensils, wine glasses, and bottled water. There is a restroom with a bathtub. The standard occupancy of the house is 4 people.
