An elderly lady with fine wrinkles is still in charge of creating the captivating taste of jokbal (steamed pork hock). Originally, the restaurant did not have a name, but customers referred to it as the “Fat Grandma’s Place.” Sure enough, as you enter the restaurant, you will notice a plump, elderly lady with silver hair sitting at the counter. The place is well known for jokbal with an exquisite combination of rich meat and soft fat. Three or four ingredients, including ginger, are added to the simmering broth to eliminate the strong meat smell. When you order a small serving, you are served radish “water” kimchi as well as two small bindaetteok free. You can order additional bindaetteok too, three for 5,000 won. When you order a large serving, you are served four free bindaetteok. Many customers order jaengbanguksu (spicy buckwheat noodles), which goes perfectly with jokbal.

Parc Naksan (낙산공원)

Le parc Naksan tire son nom de sa ressemblance à une bosse de chameau. ‘nakta’signifie chameau en coréen et ‘san’ signifie montagne. Les gens appellent donc ce parc Nakta ou Naksan. Il est situé au sommet d'une colline en granite. C'était un endroit apprécié par la famille royale à l'époque Joseon mais le développement urbain hâtif lors de la période coloniale eut pour résultat la destruction d'une grande partie de la colline. Dans un effort de conservation des espaces verts restants, Naksan fut désigné parc le 10 juin 2002. Situé au centre de Séoul, ce joli parc historique offre à ses visiteurs une vue imprenable sur le centre ville.

Following his mother’s footsteps, the son of the previous owner is now managing the family business. Opened during the early years of Jokbal Street, the delicious meat at this restaurant is fondly remembered by customers. While the meat itself has almost no fat, the fat portion is extremely soft and savory. This restaurant is also different from the others in that it provides kongnamul-guk (bean sprout soup) with the jokbal (steamed pork hock). Pyeongyang-style naengmyeon (cold noodles) and tteok-mandu-guk (rice cake-dumpling soup) are also delicious. Pyeongyang naengmyeon is cooked to suit South Korean tastebuds. Besides, the noodles and dumplings are hand-made. Despite the restaurants long history, the building of the restaurant is clean and well-maintained as it was being rebuilt after a fire in the 1980s. There are plenty of tables on the first and second floors to accommodate customers, and the third floor is reserved for large groups. Seoul Drum Festival est un festival de percussions à Séoul. Il fait intervenir des percussionnistes professionnels et amateurs du monde entier qui se rassemblent pour se produire lors de grands spectalces et ce dans de nombreux genres musicaux. Le festival a été inauguré en 1999 et se déroule près d'une semaine à Nodeulseom dans la capitale. Les spectacles seront également diffusés sur la plateforme Youtube en direct.

Le Gymnase de Jangchun est le premier gymnase dôme de Corée, ouvert depuis le 1er Février 1963. Naksan Stay is located at the low end of the fortress wall of Naksan Park, which is a great place to enjoy the night view of Seoul. The guesthouse has two gates: one leading to the small building where the owner and her family reside, and the other one leading to a bigger building that serves as a guesthouse with a spacious two-story room. Majority of the guests are from France and Russia. It’s a great place to stay for those wishing to enjoy the daytime and nighttime views of the city.
