La Vallée Gucheondong se situe à l’intérieur du Mt. Deogyusan dans la province du Jeollabuk-do, et est souvent nommée Muju Gucheondong, qui se refère à une étendue de terre et d’eau de 25km à partir de Najetongmun jusqu’au Temple Baengnyeonsa du Mt. Deogyusan. La Vallée Gucheondong n’est pas une vallée profonde. Mais elle s’etend à travers une forêt luxuriante qui est très belle. Les sons doux et calmes de la rivière sont très rafraîchissants. Ce sont ses 33 points scéniques de la Vallée Gucheondong qui la rendent célèbre. Les deux plus célèbres sont Najetongmun et Susimdae. Najetongmun, le premier point scénique est un rocher énorme avec un trou en travers, comme un tunnel. Pendant l'ère Samguk, cet endroit avait été utilisé pour être la frontière entre les nations Silla et Baekjae. Parce que c'était la ligne de démarcation entre les deux nations, même à ce jour, le dialecte et les coutumes du côté est et ouest sont différents. Personne ne sait comment le trou a été formé là, mais l'expérience de gémir au travers, est tout à fait intéressante. Susimdae, le 12ème point scénique, est une vallée approximativement de 400m de longueur. Elle est entourée par des falaises de montagne qui font ressembler la région au Mt. Geumgangsan et donc il est souvent mentionné comme Sogeumgangsan, ou petite Geumgangsan. L'eau claire et le beau paysage sont quelques choses qu’on doit absolument voir. Beaucoup de personnes viennent à la Vallée Gucheondong pour le trekking.
Les chemins pour les promenades vont du Parc national Deogyusan jusqu’au Temple Baengnyeonsa. L’aller et retour prend 3 heures de marche, sur cette route de 6 km. Quoique ce soit un chemin montagneux, les sinuosités ne sont pas sévères, et c’est l'idéal pour le trekking.

Located in Geochang, Wonhak Goga (Wonhak Old house) is regarded as the most beautiful hanok, or traditional Korean house, in the village of Hwangsan. Designated as Folk Material No. 17 in recognition of its value as a historic material, it is the largest and best preserved noble house in Gyeongsangnam-do Province, and is currently managed by Park Jeong-ja, the wife of the eldest son of the head family. It was originally opened to the public for the annual Keochang International Festival of Theater (KIFT) as there was insufficient accommodation to lodge the thousands of visitors to the festival. Therefore, the county suggested that Park provide people with a hanok accommodation to promote the village’s traditions. Accepting the suggestion, Park renovated the house by expanding the sarangchae room installing a modern-style washroom, and providing clean high-quality bedding. The house itself consists of seven structures in total including the anchae, sarangchae, jungmunchae, gotganchae, a tall gate, and a rear gate. Both the sarangchae and anchae have a half-hipped roof. Notably, the sarangchae has a total area of 99m2 and features a large girder and a round foundation stone. This traditional hanok house also boasts high-quality, refined interior decoration. The Geochang area is well known for both the Suseungdae scenic point, whose splendid surroundings include pure crystalline water, rocks, and a pine grove, and the Keochang International Festival of Theatre (KIFT) which is held every summer. After passing the main gate of the Suseungdae scenic point, in Whicheon-myeon, Gaochang-gun, and continuing along the road, visitors will come to Hwangsan Village, where a 600-year-old-zelkova tree welcomes them. In addition, visitors can enjoy the mural paintings created as part of a public art project by Geochang County while walking along the 1.2km-long stonewall (designated as a Gyeongsangnam-do Folk Material). The village of Hwangsan consists of two districts, one of which contains about fifty 100- to 200-year-old hanok houses, as well as Wonhak Goga, which has stood at the center of the village for about 500 years. Wonhak Goga, or the Old House of the Shin Clan, was originally built by Shin Gwon (pen-name Yosu), but was then demolished and rebuilt by Shin Jong-sam, a 10th-generation descendant of the family, in 1927. It is also a renowned family house and has remained a symbol of the family’s wealth and authority for many generations. Park’s father-in-law, Shin Do-seong, was a member of the National Assembly and worked as the Ministry of Unification, while her husband, Shin Wi-beom, worked as a school juristic person, gaining people’s confidence and trust. Furthermore, the house stands in an auspicious location in terms of geomantic principles, according to which the family’s descendants will have a peaceful and prosperous life for the next 400 years. Park hopes that guests will enjoy their stay amid the serene atmosphere of this old hanok house.

La forêt Deogyusan est située au sud du district de Muju, non loin de Sinpungnyeong Ridge. Seolguk is a three-story wooden pension located in Seolcheon-myeon, Muju-gun, Jeollabuk-do. The place is most beautiful in winter when it's covered with snow. It has 14 simple and clean rooms. All the refrigerators are left open for ventilation when the room is empty. There is a ski resort that is a mere 3-minute ride from the pension, making it a convenient place to lodge for those coming for winter sports. Also near Deogyusan Mountain is a mountain trail that takes 30 minutes to complete, making it a great place to stay for those who need to relax in nature away from the hectic city life. All the rooms are named after famous novelists such as Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and Thomas Mann. Most of the guestrooms have two floors.

Suseungdae est originalement nommé “Susongdae” puisque que c’est l’endroit où Baekje à dépêché ses envoyés vers Shilla durant l’ère des trois royaumes. Plus tard, durant la dynastie Joseon , le nom a changé et est devenu Suseungdae. Des halls de lecture de style anciens et des pavillons offrant un beau point de vue aux touristes. L’attraction est également totalement équipée avec une piscine extérieure, un site de camping, et beaucoup d’autres aménagements. Les soirs d’août, c’est également le lieu d’accueil du festival international de théâtre.

La station Deogyusan (ex-station Muju) est située au Mont Deogyusan et est une des principales stations en montagne. Elle se marie à merveille avec les paysages magnifiques du parc national de la montagne Deogyusan, et est un lieu idéal pour profiter des sports d’hiver.

La station Deogyusan est un bon endroit pour se détendre toute l’année, avec des hôtels de première classe reprenant le style des Alpes et une variété d’équipements sur une surface de 2,200,000 pyeong (environ 727 hectares). La station est particulièrement célèbre pour ses pistes de ski et de nombreux amateurs y affluent en hiver. Sur les pistes de ski du pic Manseonbong (1 215m), il y a un ascenseur qui peut accueillir jusqu’à 13 000 personnes en une fois, et il y a une variété de circuits, du niveau débutant au niveau professionel.

La piste du pic Seolcheon (1 520m) où la compétition Asian Universiade a officiellement débuté, présente une variété de télécabines et d’ascenceurs, ainsi qu’une source chaude pour se détendre après le ski. La source chaude en extérieur, entourée par les montagnes enneigées est particulièrement connue.

En plus des équipements mentionnés, vous pourrez profiter d’un terrain de tennis, d’escalade en montagne, de VTT en montagne et d’équitation. Au centre commercial thématique, Carnival Street, il y a des produits et de la nourriture intéressants à découvrir. Vallée Chiryeon (칠연계곡)

La vallée Chilyeon est situé derrière le village Tongan (Anseong-myeon) à Deokyusan (ou montagne Deokyu). Bien qu’elle ne soit pas aussi célèbre que Muju Gucheondong, la vallée présente un bel éventail de cascades, de rochers aux formes irrégulières et d’étangs. Son attraction la plus connue est la cascade Chilyeon, qui signifie “sept cascades connectées à l’étang”. A cet endroit, de l’eau pure tombe doucement, glissant d’un étang à un autre.
