The Gimpo Tea Etiquette Museum is a private museum where visitors can learn about the history of Korea’s tea culture, dado, meaning tea ceremony in Korea. Approximately 3,000 tea ceremony utensils are on display within the museum, and outside lies a sculpture park and an open-air installation art museum. The museum also has various auxiliary facilities for holding cultural events and performances. There is a pond, a spacious lawn, and a pavilion where visitors can learn about Korea’s traditional culture and ethics in a natural setting.

Largo Ville Wave House is a hotel-type accommodation recently opened in 2014 in the largo ville resort district of the Ganghwado, Incheon. There are two buildings, Wave House and Garden House, with six types of rooms including Superior, Premier, Standard, and Suites. Compared to the largo ville resort with kitchenette, the Wave House is characterized by cozier interior which renders itself more suitable for couples rather than families. While all the rooms face the sea, the Superior Spa Room boasts a whirlpool bathtub, which is not found in other rooms of the entire largo ville. The cultivation of Ganghwa ginseng began during the era of King Gojong (A.D. 1232) of the Goryeo dynasty. In 1920, Ganghwado Island was designated a special district for ginseng cultivation. At the onset of the Korean War (1950-1953), the people of Gaeseong, the birthplace of ginseng cultivation, took refuge on Ganghwado Island and began to cultivate ginseng on a large scale, which was the beginning of the production of the famous 6-year-old root of ginseng.

Ganghwado Island has the optimal environment for ginseng cultivation with clay soil, sandy loam, and a cool climate condition influenced by coastal winds. The thick root of Ganghwa ginseng does not have any inside cavity or white interior. This is how Ganghwa became a leading producer of the 6-year-old root, which has a high rate of red ginseng extract, cheonji.
