Established in 1972, Kukkiwon serves as the headquarters of World Taekwondo. The organization strives to promote the Korean cultural heritage of Taekwondo across the world and set the culture of Taekwondo. Opened in 2001, the Ansan Botanical Garden has three halls. The first hall (382.81㎡) is a tropical garden, home to 98 species, including palm trees. The second hall (846㎡) features 177 species in 11 families of floral plants, such as irises. The third hall (846㎡) features 177 species in 4 families of marsh plants. Outside gardens include a rose garden, fruit tree garden, wild plant garden, plant succession garden, and a pond featuring a total of 46 plants including red momo botan lotus. The botanical park has a pyramid-shaped, modern greenhouse that is a source of pride for Ansan City. The park is also connected to Seongho Park.

Mapodaegyo Bridge (마포대교 야경)

Mapodaegyo Bridge connects Yonggang-dong, Mapo-gu and Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu. The bridge is 1,400 meters long and 25 meters wide (6-lane road), and was the fourth bridge to be built over the Hangang River, following the construction of Hannam Bridge. The construction of the bridge first started in February of 1968 and was completed in May of 1970. At the time of its completion the bridge was named Seouldaegyo Bridge, but was later changed to Mapodaegyo Bridge in 1984.
