Gaetmaeul restaurant, located in Ichon-dong in the Yongsan area of Seoul, is widely known for its specialty dish, Son-manduguk (handmade dumpling soup). Not only does it serve exceptionally delicious food, but the service is friendly, and the facilities are clean. As well as the excellent mandu dishes, such as manduguk (dumpling soup) and tteok-manduguk (dumpling soup with rice cake slices), the menu also includes bindatteok (Korean mung-bean pancake) and suyuk (boiled slices of beaf). The kimchi used to fill the dumplings and offered as a side dish is also particularly good.

Mangwon Market is one of the representative traditional markets of Seoul. Its proximity to both Mangnidan Street and Hangang Park makes it a great place to do some shopping in preparation for a riverside picnic. First built in 132 during the Baekje era (18 BC-AD 660) under King Gaeru's reign, Bukhansanseong Fortress was the northernmost fortress that protected Baekje from Goguryeo's forces. In the year 475, the fortress fell in the hands of Gogyuryeo after a fierce battle. As a result, King Gaeru was killed and Baekje's princess fled to Ungjinseong Fortress. Despite the fortress' collapse and reconstructions, Bukhansanseong Fortress continued to play an important role in protecting the capital city throughout Korea's history of war.
